2、 ng this sce nario, you should be familiar with the basic comma nds Guide. The Shape Desig n workbe nch is displayed. com mon to all workbe nches. 3、e Edit 軸 Insert Look Window Help 二 :二二 +jEAflDW/X The New Part name dialog box may appear depending on the way you customized your sessi on .It provides a field for en teri ng the name you wish to assign to the part, an option that enables hybrid design an two other options to insert a geometrical s

4、et and/or an ordered geometrical set in the part to be created. If you selectEnable hybrid design, the capability then applies to all the bodies you will create in your CATIA sessi on (and n ot only to the new CATPart document you are opening). Consequently, if your sessi on contains CATPart docume

5、nts already in cludi ng traditi onal bodies, the new bodies you will create subseque ntly in these docume nts will possibly in clude wireframe and surface eleme nts. To facilitate your desig n. It is therefore recomme nded that you do not cha nge this sett ing dur ing your sessi on. For more informa

6、tion, refer to the Part Document chapter in docume ntati on. 7、ons surface. 7. En ter an offset value of 2mm. The offset surface is displayed normal to the multi-sections surface. 8. Click OK to create the offset surface. 9. Click the Split icon The Split Definition dialog box appears. 2. Select the offset surface by click ing on the porti on that you want to keep after the split. 3. Selec

11、t the first plane (Plane.2) as cutting element. 4. Click OK to split the surface. 0 5. Click OK to create the multi-sections surface between the two split surfaces. 10. Click the Shape Fillet icon The Fillet Definition dialog box appears. 11. Select the first split

14、 surface as the first support element (Split.3). 12. Select the multi-sections surface you just created as the second support eleme nt (Multi-secti ons Surface.3). 13. Enter a fillet radius of 3mm. The orie ntati ons of the surfaces are show n by means of arrows. 14. Make sure that the surface orien

15、tations are correct (arrows pointing dow n) the n click OK to create the first fillet surface. 15. Repeat the filleting operation, clicking the icon, then selecting the sec ond split surface as the first support eleme nt. 16. Select the previously created filleted surface as the second support eleme

16、 nt. 17. Enter a fillet radius of 3mm. 18. Make sure that the surface orientations are correct (arrows pointing up) the n clickOK to create the sec ond filleted surface. You will use the profile element on the side of the part for this. In this task you will also create a symmetrical profi

18、le element on the opposite side of the part. 1. Click the Swept Surface icon The Swept Surface Defin iti on dialog box appears. 2. Click the Explicit sweep icon. 3. Select the profile eleme nt (Cor ner.1). 4. Select the guide curve (Guide.1). 6. Click OK to create the swept surface. 5. Select the ce

19、n tral curve (Spli ne.1) as the spine. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. 18. Click the Symmetry ico n The Symmetry Defin iti on dialog box appears. Select the profile eleme nt to be tran sformed by symmetry. Select the YZ pla ne as refere nee eleme nt. Click OK to create the symmetrical profi

20、le element. Click the Sweep ico n Select the profile (Symmetry.3) and the guide curve (Guide.2). Select the cen tral curve (Spli ne.1) as the spine. Click OK to create the swept surface. To create a fillet between the side portion and the central part click the Shape Fillet Select the side sweep ele

21、me nt and the cen tral porti on of the part, the n en ter a fillet radius of 1mm (make sure the arrows are pointing up). Click Preview to preview the fillet, thenOK to create it. Repeat the filleting operation between the other sweep element and the central portion of the part, and entering a fillet

22、 radius of 1mm (make sure the arrows are pointing up). 19. Click OK to create the fillet. Select the element for which you want to display the historical graph. 2. Click the Show Historical Graph The Historical Graph dialog box
