1、 a case study of family educationabstract: the conceptual framework of this paper has been formed under the influence of the novel the catcher in the rye .based on this novel and other dates, a case study is designed which aims at finding what kind of family education do the best for building childr

2、ens characters. through the study of some correlation dates, it turns out that more encouragement and love can make children be more confident and easier to succeed. suggestions are given to help parents be aware of the meaning of the good family education. key words: family education; encouragement

3、; confident1、 introductionas we grow up from children to adults, we had got many thoughts and ideas about our family education. the family education had given us the deepest impression in our whole life, bad or good. as a sister of a seven-year-old boy, i found that a good and positive family educat

4、ion can make the child become excited、confident and creative. oppositely, the inappropriate family education would lead to the losing of childrens natural. therefore, i wonder that what kind of the family education is good and what kind of family education the children prefer to.just like holden, th

5、e boy in the catcher in the rye, he always feel lonely and look forward to find someone he can talk honestly with, someone he can make contact with and someone who will understand whats bothering him. such a character mostly influenced by his family. because of his parents coldness and insincerity,

6、the poor boy felt loveless and became a misfit and a person who cant cope. seeing the boys confusing and oppression, i realized the importance and the necessary of the study of family education.2、the necessary of family education2.1 definition of family educationfamily education generally refers to

7、the process that parents and adult educate their young children in the family. it was produced since the family appeared in the human society. this education, school education and social education together constituted all the human education that has been accepted. the family education is executed a

8、mong the members of the family, which determines its initial resistance, durability and the intimacy and nature relationship between those who teach and those who are taught.2.2 the important of family educationteenager is the hope of the motherland, the nations future. as the new generation who is

9、standing in the culture forefront and leading the community, teenager need to mind an ideal, be creative and self-confidence. improving teenagers family education and promoting teenagers healthy growth not only help to promote social harmony and stability, but also related to the party and the count

10、rys future and destiny.family education of young people plays an important role in the training of young peoples character and quality. more importantly, a good family education can explore the young peoples potential in a maximize way. once the famous former soviet union educator suhomlinski compar

11、ed children to a marble, he said, shaping the piece of marble into a statue need six sculptors:1、a family; 2、schools; 3、the collective where the children be 4、children themselves; 5、books 6、occasional factors. from the above order, we can see the family is placed at the first line. its obvious that

12、the family plays an important role in the process of shaping the children and occupies a considerable position in the educators mind. 2.3 the problem of current family educationreform and opening brought the prosperity to our countrys economy, peoples living standards are transferring from subsisten

13、ce to the well-off, meanwhile, the family education is changing from families with many children education to the one-child family education. this fact brought three big changes to nowadays family education.the first one is the change of the attitude of parents. as they only have one child, the pare

14、nts treat their childs failures and successes same as a bet. the hardship they had suffered from is transformed into a strong compensation psychological and fear psychological, so that the way they treated their child performs the four over: over expectation, over care, over concern, over protection

15、, lead to the prevalence of these three without children: without love, without ability, without responsibility.next one is the change of the environment that children grow up. from children into adults, the adults influence on children is increasing, the children attachment to the adults is increas

16、ing, meanwhile, the disagreement between children and adults is also increasing. the third one is the change of the childrens life style. todays children are chinas first group children who are growing up in front of the tv. although the housing space become bigger, the time that children talk with

17、their parents become less. gradually, the children closed the mind door to the adults, forming the unhealthy psychological.3、the outstanding skills of family education 3.1 tell the children you love them the most important thing is let your children know your love and learn to love others. love is n

18、ot only the starting point of all moral, but also the starting point of success in life, because only the people with love have the source power to create success. 3.2 encourage children as much as possible encouraged to children is just as sun to grass. though the stimulating words, children will u

19、nderstand their parents believe that he would have a bright future, so he will believe that he is very smart. a excellent encourage will give children a lot of confident and courage, thats the first step of success. 3.3 be careful with reward and punishment although the reward is important, the prop

20、er punishment is necessary. punishment is used to let children understand what should be done and what shouldnt be done. on the other hand, too much praise and reward will make children become arrogant and snobbish. so parents must be careful with the reward and the punishment.4、conclusionthe above discussion of family education is just as some advises to parents.
