The coups contributed to heavy Indo-Fijia

7、n emigration; the resulting population loss resulted in economic difficulties to this date. New successful general elections took place on 17th September 2014 returning the country to full democratic government Population Issues & EffectsPopulation disparity Much of the tensions were because of this

8、 disparity both by numbers and wealth. Fiji is mostly made up of native Fijians, (54.3%), Indo-Fijians (38.1%).
