3、. sen's research and doctrines are more kindhearted warmth, and thafs the reason why this book draws me.on the question of development, traditional economics considers that measures of economic development can be measured directly using indicators of economic growth, such as per capita gnp, with

4、out taking into account other economic variables. as long as per capita income in creases, econo mists will think that social is developing , and economic development can go with the flow to solve a large number of social problems amartya sen is opposed to this narrow view. sen pointed out that per

10、ne hand, the value of freedom is the pursuit of the highest goal; the other hand, five kinds of instrumental freedom is an effective means of achieving development. freedom has not only a constructive role in development, but also an instrumental role. sen sums up instrumental freedom into five diff

11、erent types of freedom that deserve special emphasis:(1) political freedom;(2) economic conditions;(3) social opportunities;(4) transparency protection;(5) protective safeguards.these five instrumental freedoms are an important means of promoting and safeguarding development. the instrumental role o

12、f freedom is about how rights, opport un ities and rights con tribute to economic developme nt by extending the general freedom of man. sen pointed out that various types of in strume ntal freedom directly expa nd people's viability. their relati on ship is interrelated and complementary, so tha

13、t one freedom greatly promotes ano ther.in terms of the overall methodology, sen tried to restore the broad and deep link between economics and ethics, and to exert the social usefulness of economics, which is now overlooked and neglected by mainstream economics. sen's study of equality highligh
