3、s around the world.教学过程:Warm-up Ask students to look at the pictures and the title of the unit and the text. Ask them what they think the unit will be about(customs around the world).Check they understand the word culture in this context (the customs and attitudes that have developed in a particular

4、 country, influenced by the religion,history,etc. Of that country).Lead-inQ: Boys and girls, Lead-inHave you travelled to a foreign country?Where did you go?What impressed you most?Before we go ,what should we know about? Step 1 Ask students to match the words with the pictures in 1a(P112).Step 2 As

5、k students to look through the countries to ask them where they are , famous places and what they know about these countries . Then introduce some background information to students.Step 3 Ask students to finish the quiz in 1b. Step 4 Ask students to listen to the dialogues in 1c and check their ans

7、erb: when in Rome, do as Romans do.Then underline "should/shouldn't do” in the quiz.Step 6 Know about the use of "should/shouldn't”.should是情态动词,意为“应该”,后接不带to的动词不定式 (即动词原形),没有人称和数的变化。含should 的陈述句通过在should 后加not变成否定句 (should not缩写成shouldnt);把should提到句首变成疑问句。它可用来表示: 1 劝告、建议等。例如: You s

8、houldnt be so careless. 你不该这样粗心大意。 2 表示义务或责任。例如: You should help your parents do some housework at home. 你应该在家帮助父母做一些家务。 3 在疑问句中,用来表示令人惊讶、不合理或难以置信的事情。例如: It seems unfair that this should happen to me. 真不公平,这件事竟然发生在我身上。 4 第一人称疑问句中,表示征求对方的意见,用在提供帮助、提出建议、要求、给予指示的句子中。例如: Should I open the window?我可以打开窗户

9、吗? 5. 表示谦逊、客气、委婉之意,用来使直接或直率的陈述变得婉转。例如: I should say it is impolite for you to do this like that. 我得说,你那样做是不礼貌的。 6 “should have 过去分词”结构可表示对过去所发生的事的看法,should have done sth.表示“本应做某事而没有做”,shouldnt have done sth. 表示“做了本不应做的事”。例如: You should have told me about it. 你本应告诉我这件事。(实际上没告诉) You shouldnt have gone

Would you like+n/to do?来提出建议, 意思是 “你想要吗?” Would you like something to drink/eat? 你想要喝点/吃点什么吗?8. My advice is that+主语+do. 我建议。【“主语”后接动词原形】 My advice is that

If I were you, I would+do 如果我是你,我会。【另一常见表达为:If I were in your shoes, I would】 If I were you, I would choose to study further and get a master degree.如果我是你,我会选择继续深造,取得硕士学位。10.
