The original story is taken from Genesis 3: 1-24 of the Bible(圣经中的创世纪3:1-24). The poem concerns

3、 the Christian story of the Fall of Man: the temptation of Adam and Eve by the fallen angel Satan and their expulsion from the garden of Eden.
