1、ARMED FORCES & EMERGENCY SERVICES CLAY TARGET SHOOTING SERIESRULES AND REGULATIONS1INTRODUCTION1.1The Armed Forces & Emergency Services Clay Target Series, (The Series) is designed to provide the opportunity for members of the participating Services Associations to meet socially and compete

2、in 6 non-registered clay target shooting competitions for individual, Service and team prizes.1.2Each Service is responsible for organising and running one event in the series calendar. The competition has a minimum of 100 targets and comprises any discipline or combination of disciplines. Teams cur

3、rently participating are:Royal Navy ArmyRoyal Air Force Police Service Fire ServicePrison Service1.3These rules are to be reviewed annually at the Series Committee meeting.2TEAM COMPOSITION2.1Each Service may field a squad who are eligible in accordance with their own Service/Association Charters. T

4、he squad may exceed 20 shooters, however if this is the case, the 20 representative competitors who form the team must be declared prior to shooting. Additional competitors may only compete as individuals. The top 10 scores from each team will count. 2.2If the numbers competing are less than 10, the

5、 following procedure will be applied: n completion of the competition the hosting Service will first give consideration to the combined score of the smallest team of seven or above. Any team with less than 7 competitors is considered non competitive, with members shooting for individual honours only

6、, i.e. Overall High Gun and Overall Runner-up.as either winners or runners-up the results are declared final and the event is complete. is neither the winner nor runners-up the score for this team is disregarded and the scoring is recalculated for the remaining teams, based on the team with the next

7、 lowest number of competitors.-up team are identified. An example is shown below.2.2.5 There are three teams with 10 competitors, one with 9, another with 8 and another with 7. On completion of the competition the hosting Service calculates team scores for the best 7 competitors from each team. If t

8、he team was in either the winners or runners-up position scores are declared final and the competition is complete. 2.2.6 If that team does not feature as either the winners or runners - up scores are recalculated for the teams using 8 top scores, (next minimum team size). If that team is either the

9、 winners or runners-up scores are declared final and the competition is complete. If however the team were neither the winners nor runners-up the scores are recalculated for teams of 9 (next minimum team size). This procedure continues until the winning and runners-up teams are identified. 3ELIGIBIL

10、ITY3.1Each Service association will apply eligibility criteria as prescribed in their Charters. 4COMPETITION CONDITIONS:4.1Each Service is to host a clay target competition of not less than 100 targets. The hosting Service may decide on the discipline or combination of disciplines to be shot, but ea

11、ch must be shot under the rules and regulations of the appropriate governing body, e.g. ISSF, FITASC or CPSA.4.2The dates and order of competitions are to run as follows:Royal NavyApril Fire ServiceMay ArmyJune Prison ServiceJuly Police Service August Royal Air ForceSeptember 5PROCEDURE5.1The follow

12、ing procedure has been agreed in order to ensure the timely distribution of information which will allow events to run smoothly.ser is to release the Initial calling notice a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the event.team captains are to submit confirmation of expected numbers to the hosting Service org

13、aniser 4 weeks in advance of the competition.Team lists are to be submitted to the hosting Service organiser before the competition starts.6.ENTRY FEES6.1The cost of individual events will vary depending on the location, discipline and numbers attending. Organisers are expected to keep costs in the

14、region of £30.00 per gun, of which 10% may be used for the provision of prizes.6.2Entry fees and funding for prizes will be reviewed annually at the Series Committee meeting. 7.AWARDS AND PRIZES7.1The following awards will be presented at the end of the Series:Series Awards1x Overall Series Hig

15、h Gun) These are perpetual trophies, sponsored by Clay Shooting magazine1x Overall Series Runner-Up) Winners are expected to have their trophy engraved and returned 6x Service Series High Gun) clean for the next presentationFixturesOverall High Gun) Prizes provided by host Service and retained by Ov

16、erall Runner-Up) winners.Service High Gun (One for each Service)Winning Team (max 10)7.2All competitors are eligible for the Overall High Gun and Runners-up awards but these recipients will not be eligible for the Service High Gun awards at either the Individual Fixtures or Series Awards.SERIES SCOR

17、ING SYSTEM8.1There are essentially three competitions within the six round series Overall Individual, Service Individual and team. For the Overall and Service Individual competitions competitors must submit a minimum of four scores to be eligible for the Series awards. The best 4 scores of a possibl

18、e 6 submitted to count.8.2At each event the Overall High Gun will be awarded 0 points and every other competitor awarded points according to their score in relation to the High Gun. For example, the OHG scores 90 (awarded 0 points), the OR-U scores 88 (awarded 2 points) and the next highest scores 8

19、5 (awarded 5 points). The competitor with the lowest number of points at the conclusion of the Series will be awarded the Series High Gun award and likewise within each Service. Rule 7.2 applies.8.3In the event of a draw the highest fifth score will be used to break the tie and then, if necessary, t

20、he sixth.8.4The collation of scores will be undertaken preferably by a volunteer but if not then by the hosting committee for the season.9SERIES COMMITTEE MEETING9.1An annual committee meeting will be held to review the years events, raise points for consideration, review entry fees and set the next seasons schedule.
