8、Oleochemical based alkyl chainsN+N+N+N+Key Application PropertiesDue to the positive charge on the nitro-gen, our quaternaries are substantive to fibers and negatively charged textile sub-strates in general. From aqueous emul-sions or dispersions, the quats exhaust onto the fibers, allowing their ap

9、plication by padding and mainly by the exhaust method.Our organic quaternaries are stable to hydrolysis over a broad pH range, stable to acids, alkalies and electrolytes within the concentrations usually encountered in practice. Being cationics, they are com-patible with other cationics, non-ionics

10、and amphoterics, but not compatible with anionics and/or optical brighteners.The primary effect of our cationics on fabrics is softening. Hand and softness can be varied depending on the softener and textile substrate type. Further, our soften-ers have influence on the hydrophilicity or hydrophobici

11、ty of the treated fabric. We offer premium grades which assure a very good water absorbency of the treated fabric.Most of our softeners are non-yellowing on white goods or provide ozone fade re-sistance on indigo-dyed denim. In addition they provide an antistatic effect during processing and on the
