4、n is the gel coat's worst enemy, care must also be taken to protect it from water and abrasion. Abrasions can occur simply when dirt is ground into the deck, or through nicks and scratches from mooring. A worn or scratched gel coat can allow water to permeate the fibre glass, causing serious dam

If water is left on a surface in direct sunlight, it a

There are many types of

10、specialty cleaners, including some with wax to protect the gel coat. Others are a two part process of cleaning and waxing. All are designed to protect the gel coat from ultraviolet rays and the harsh marine environment. We recommend you use 3M Ultra Performance Paste wax (see photo).大多数玻璃纤维的船蜡是用蜂

This will provide a good protective barrier coat. Depending on the clima

Gel coat oxidation is easily remedied in most cases.如果你的

16、船表面出现无光泽或白色粉状，很可能是你的胶衣已被氧化。胶衣氧化在大多数情况下很容易补救。Light Oxidation光氧化If your boat's gel coat is slightly oxidized, most of the surface will be shiny with a few patches of dullness or cloudiness.如果你船的胶衣是轻微氧化，就是只有一些地方无光泽，大部分还是有光泽的。At this stage of oxidation, a simple oxidation removing compound applied t

17、o the hull will remove oxidation and restore the shine. We would recommend 3M Fast Cut (white or Green top)在这个氧化阶段，应该使用容易去除氧化使船体恢复光泽的产品。我们推荐3M Fast Cut（白或绿盖）This is a cutting compound, which needs to be used an electric variable speed polisher with the speed setting at about 1,500 rpm. Use a yellow

19、rea then use the polisher to remove the dull gel coat. To remove the oxidation and smooth the pitting, you will need to use the same 3m Fast Cut as used with Light Oxidation but with a coarser 3M Superbuff

In most cases though, restoration will mean intense work to restore the shine and may require the attention of a profession

27、 to avoid leaving the buffing pad in one spot for too long as this may damage the paint or gelcoat and it is always a good idea to practise with the buffer before beginning to avoid burning through and deep swirl marks.Suggested Product:3M Marine Imperial Compound or Finishing Material 06044E去除重氧化需要
