6、 and difficult points: The important points are to make the Ss master the pattern“ would you mind doing .?” to express their requests and use different patterns “to make responses. In the past teaching course,I found some Ss often gave incorrect responses,so I think the difficult point is how to mak

7、e the Ss use these patterns correctly and flexibly in their daily life.Part II Analysis of the students The Ss in Grade 8 have learned at least 5 kinds of ways of giving advice, and theyve known “mind doing”. So its not difficult for them to understand the pattern “Would you mind (not) doing sth?” Wh

It helps me to teach Ss how to answer the questions flexibly. Next, Ill adopt the Task-based Languge Teaching Method

So

15、Ill make Ss understand it as clearly as possible by explanation and activities. If he says “Yes” and is ready to open the door, Ill stop him and tell other Ss “He said “ yes”,that means he “minds it”,he doesnt want to open the door. But in fact,he is ready to open the door. Why? Because here he should

Ill explain it and show it on the screen. If necessary in Chinese. Then give another example “Zhang Jie, would you mind not closing the window? I feel so hot.” And help him answer “Im sorry, Ill

20、 sentences will feel sorry for their bad habits and be pleased to accept this type of “kind criticism”. It will also make the activity meaningful. Ss are usually interested in the topics. Here I picked up some sentences made by the Ss Ive taught before. Im sure the new Ss can also do it excellently.

21、 The examples are: “Would you mind not speaking behind me in math class? “Would you mind not copying my physics homework?” “Would you mind not taking off your shoes in class? The last one is very funny, I cant help laughing. However, from them, I know some Ss are “using” English. And take this chanc

In this way, I can make my suggestions easy to be accepted by them. 4 Listening: Play the tape of activity 1b,2a,2b ,get Ss to listen and number the pictures. By doing this,I can not only improve student
