No, you may not /may not /cant. A: May /
10、 Can I use your pen? B:* Sure / Of course / Certainly. Here you are. (表示婉转的语气,同意别人的请求) / * Im afraid not. Im using it now. (表示婉转的不允许,意思是恐怕不行) A: May I smoke here? B: No, you mustnt. A: May I talk in the reading room? B: No, you mustnt. You mustnt talk loudly in the reading room. (*表示规章制度的不允许时,may的否定
11、回答必须用mustnt,意思是决不可以)2. must 表示做某事的必要性eg. You must hand in your homework today. A: Must I finish my homework now? B: Yes, you must./ *No, you neednt. You may finish it tomorrow. (must的否定回答时,必须用neednt, 意思是不必)* can, may, must, mustnt和neednt用法的共同点是:没有人称和数的变化;后跟动词原形 * You mustnt write your name on your d
