2、度教授忽然给我打来的 电话,紧张的心情和对方难懂的印度口音使我有些不知所措,但是他问的题目主要集中在我PS里面的一些内容,包括一些研究的细节,我还是比较完满的回答了他的提问,唯一遗憾 的就是他在问道我对 Stanford的教授哪些比较熟悉的时候,我竟然忘记了一个我们专业非常有名的人,而且我还和那个人通过email联系过,我想这对我的口试起到了很不好的影响。比起电话口试,我更喜欢面对面的口试,因此 Umich的口试就比较成功,尽管对方说话的 速度相当快,而且有两个人口试, 我还是能够比较流畅的回答对方的题目。口试中能够表现自己的自信,那么口试可以说就成功了一半。Umich 口试给我印象最深的就是
3、他们对PS上涉及的内容非常关注,往往会刨根问底,比如我在PS中提到了丁肇中,那个口试的老师就和我聊起丁肇中为什么得诺贝尔奖了。预备Cornell大学的电话口试我费了很大的心思。我先从网上找到了他们所有我 申请的专业的教授的资料,然后从其中挑出几份适合我的仔细研究。然后对一些经典的口试题目做了具体的预备。整个口试过程非常轻松愉快,实在问的专业题目也就占了 一半的时间,另一半时间基本是在聊天。比如问问平时的学习、爱好,甚至问起北大的食堂怎么样,我回答说特点就是大,最大的一个食堂可以容纳10000个人同时就餐,着实把教授吓了一跳,可能康奈尔的学生少, 没见过这样的场景。 这些东西事先不能预备, 只能
