Greet the whole class. 2. Lead-in:(1) Q: Do you know some buildings that could represent ancient civilizations in

3、 China or throughout the world? (2) Show some pictures to the Ss and ask them the following questions.What are the similarities and differences among these places? Can you use some words to describe them? Similarities: magnificent, mysterious, ancient, distant, famous, attractive Differences: Some o

4、f them are still existing now, while others have disappeared. So we call the ancient buildings, cultures and countries that no longer exist “Lost Civilizations”.Step2 Fast-reading1. 9、urns out that after the ash covered the people who failed to flee the city, their bodies nearly completely broke down and disappeared.
