Today, my topic is How do you go to school.Its really my honor to stand here making this presentation. To make my point much clearer, Im going to present them in the follow

2、ing 6 aspects: analysis of teaching material, analysis of sutdents, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard lay out. Now I am going to present them one by one. Analysis of Teaching MaterialHow do you go to school is Unit 4 of the 8th grade students book, published by P

3、eoples Education Press. Students are going to learn some kinds of transportation means and know how to choose transportation means to get to places. It will improve students comprehensive ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing.II. Teaching ObjectivesBased on the new curriculum standards

4、, there are three teaching objectives.1. Knowledge Objectives.To enable students to master the key words: take, subway, train, get to, etc along with the target sentence How do you get to.2. Ability ObjectivesTo make sure students know how to communicate with each other and raise the social sense.3.

5、 Emotion ObjectivesThis lesson mainly aims to develop students potential ability of talking about transportation means with people around them, and let students learn to communicate with others and show their care to others. Based on analyzing the teaching materials, the key point is to master the k

6、ey sentence of How do you get to, but there are so many transportation ways, so the difficult points for students will be memorize the names of them.Students in grade 7 have already learned English for many years, they have build a solid foundation and are capable of making some simple sentences. St

7、ill they are ambitious enough to learn more. The spirit of this unit is encouraging students to communicate with others, thus it requires Sss fully involvement.With knowing the basic situation of Students, we will select the most suitable tools. In this case, pictures and videos about trains or subw

8、ays will help the Ss bring the best of themselves.III. Teaching MethodsAccording to the students psychological characteristics,I will suggest task-based and situational teaching methods. And encourage them to learn from each other. Learning MethodsIt takes more than teaching to complete the circle o

9、f learning, Students willing to learn is equally important. The learning methods of this class are Pair work, Group work and discussion. . Teaching Procedures.1. Lead-inShow them some pictures of beautiful views from different place such as the big Ben , mountain Hua, the Bell tower and let them gue

10、ss where is it, write down the names on the blackboard. And then ask them where did you go on vocation and by what transportation means.By doing this I intend to bring up students interests of learning and make a review of last unit what are you doing for vocation.Presentation Show the students some

11、 pictures of the transportation ways and write down the names of them on the blackboard, and show the students if the want to know what transportation ways they choose, they can ask the sentence of How do you get to ., learning this sentence is the foundation of the section.3. Practice As the saying

12、 goes, practice makes the perfect. Thus in this part, I will start with doing a match up with the place I write on blackboard and the transportation ways they think is the most appropriate. Then let them make a conversation in pairs about how do you go to .After that , let them play a game called Gu

13、ess how do I go to school, which is have one student perform in front of the class and others guess how does he go to school. By doing this, students will get familiar with the target sentence. 4. Consolidation. I will divide the class into several groups and ask them to practice the sentence How do

14、es Xiao ming go to school? He go to school by bus. By doing this, students will practice to change the subject into the third person, consolidate the knowledge they learned on class. 5. Summary To sum up, I will ask the students to think how many names of transportation ways do they learn today and what are they. 6.
