、o talk about her is that my friend is always going on about how lucky he is to have such a nice mum. And from what I know about her, Id say hes absolutely right!Anyway, as for how I know her, well its basically due to the fact that I went to the same middle school as her son. And because we became p

、 round faces and long wavy hair. Having said that though, Ive noticed that my friends mother often ties her hair up in a bun, whereas my mother usually always keeps it down. And another thing to mention would be that whenever I see her, she always seems to be wearing red clothes of some sort, which

、I guess is probably because red suits her quite well. But anyway, finally then, with regard to why I think shes a good parent, well Id say there are quite a few reasons, one of which would be that shes always been fully supportive to her son. And just to give you an example, when he was deciding what

、 major to study at university, he ended up choosing music. And his mother gave him her full support, which is probably not what many other parents would have done, as music doesnt really leave open a lot of career choices, if you know what I mean! And I think its fair to say that nowadays, a lot of p

、 looks likeAnd explain why you think the person is polite.Ok, right then, well the person Id like to talk to you about is a very good friend of mine called Matthew, the reason being that he must be one of the nicest and most polite people I know, which Ill come to explain in a moment. But firstly, as

、 for how I know him, well weve basically known each other since middle school, because we were in the same class together, and we still touch base quite a lot with each other. You know, if I feel like going out and doing something, I normally give him a call and see if hes free to meet up.And moving

、 on to why I think hes so polite, well its basically because hes just got really good manners. And just to give you an example, he always says thank you to people, even for the slightest thing. For instance, Ive noticed that whenever were eating at a restaurant, he will thank the waiters and waitres

、ses every time they bring a dish to the table. And another example would be that whenever he gets off a taxi, he will always say thank you to the driver, which a lot of people probably think isnt necessary, but Im sure the bus drivers really appreciate it, as do the waiters and waitresses, because i

、ts not all that often they hear people thanking them!So yeah, thats basically why Id say hes such a polite person, and Im just trying to think if theres anything more to add, um oh yeah, and one other thing to mention would be that hes always very complimentary to people. So what I mean is that he t

、ends to always say nice things to people, for example he might make a comment about how nice someones looking, or how good their cooking is, which I know might be seen as being a bit um whats the word um insincere, but I think he genuinely means what he says, at least most of the time anyway! And I m

Its best to try and keep talking, even when you are thinking!)Describe a person you know who has an important job.You should say:Who the person isWhere the person worksWhat

、 the person does in the jobAnd explain why you think the persons job is important.Ok, well it was actually quite difficult choosing who to talk about, because I mean if you think about it, everyones job is important in some way or other. But in the end Ive decided to talk about an uncle of mine whos

、 a doctor. And I apologise if youve already heard a lot of other examinees talking about doctors, but hopefully I can give you a few more insights into the job, based on what I know from my uncle. So first of all, as for what he actually does in his job, well Ive never really asked him the specifics

、of what he gets up to every day, but in a nutshell, he spends most of his time treating patients, which involves firstly finding out whats wrong with them, and then helping cure them of whatever pain or illness they have. So normally, after examining a patient and listening to what they have to say,

、 my uncle will then give them a prescription for suitable medicine to take, which he told me is extremely difficult to get right every time, even after having over 20 years of experience, due to the fact that the human body is just so complex. And even though my uncle specializes in skin disorders,

、there are still countless different kinds of various infections and conditions, so its not easy at all to give a one hundred percent accurate diagnosis every time, as Im sure you can understand! But anyway, regarding why his job is important, well I think it goes without saying that doctors are extre

、mely important! I mean, if we didnt have them, most of us wouldnt have a clue how to make ourselves better, and so we wouldnt be able to get rid of a lot of illnesses we might have. Of course, for small ailments it wouldnt be too big a problem, but if you were to come down with something serious, th

、en you would be in quite a bit of trouble if there werent any doctors around to help you!So yeah, I think its pretty safe to say that theyre an essential part of our society, and Im really grateful to doctors like my uncle who have devoted so much of their time and effort into helping people get rid

、fe that Id like to talk to you about is one called Maya Cafe, which is somewhere on the outskirts of the city, just a few minutes walk from where I live. And as for how often I go there, well I actually go there quite a lot, probably something like once or twice a week. Having said that though, it re

、ally kind of depends on how busy I am. I mean, there are times when I dont go for weeks on end because Im simply too busy with stuff, but normally thats not the case, and Im there pretty regularly, as I just mentioned.Anyway, regarding what kind of things they serve there, well its great, because th

、eyve got a really good selection of both Chinese and Western food, so theres a lot to choose from. And in terms of drinks, theres also quite a lot on the menu, especially coffee, which you can probably imagine, what with it being a cafe and all. And I tend to normally always go for the Chai Latte, c

、os I think they do it really well, and so Ive never really felt the need to try any of the other drinks on the menu. But anyway, finally then, moving on to why I like this place so much, well Id say its a combination of reasons, one of which would be that its really big and spacious, at least compare

、d to most of the other cafes Ive been to, so you never have to worry about not finding a place to sit. Although having said that, it can sometimes get pretty busy in the evenings, so I usually tend to go in the morning or afternoon. Anyway, another thing to mention would be that the food and drinks

、there are pretty good-value. Because I mean, most of the Western food there only costs between about 30 to 50 Yuan, which is a lot cheaper than most of the other Western restaurants in the city. And the price of the coffee there is round about the same price as Starbucks, which some people might see

、 as expensive, but considering the fact that youre paying for the environment as well as the drink, Id say its definitely worth it.Oh and the other thing I really like about it is that you can spend as much time as you want relaxing there, without being bothered by the waiters. And the chairs there

、jing Metro, because I remember it being unbelievably crowded, so thats what Im gonna talk to you about. And as for when I went there, well it was actually pretty recently, which I suppose was probably only about two or three weeks ago, so its still pretty fresh in my memory. And regarding what I was d

、oing there, well basically, I was on my way to see a friend who lives in Beijing, and she had told me that by far the best way to get around the city was using the subway, simply because the roads were so congested. So I took her advice, but it was a huge shock when I actually got into the subway st

、ation and saw just how many people there were. I mean, I knew that there would be a lot of people, but I never expected to see that many!Although looking back on it now, I suppose what made it worse was the fact that I was travelling during rush hour, so it was a lot more crowded than Im sure it wou

、ld have been during off-peak times. And when I saw how packed the train was when it was pulling into the station, I remember thinking there was no way I was going to be able to get on. But I was in a bit of a hurry, coz I was actually already running late, so I had no choice really but to join the h

I mean, it was absolutely heaving, and I literally couldnt move at all! crowded = packed = heaving 拥挤旳Thankfully tho

、ugh, I didnt have too far to travel, coz if I remember correctly, I was only on the train for about 4 stops. And when I finally got off, I remember feeling incredibly relieved, and also very grateful that I didnt have to go through the same experience every day.Notes:its still pretty fresh in my mem

、k right then, well there are actually quite a few languages that I would like to learn, but probably the one Id like to learn most is French, partly because it sounds quite nice, and also because France is a country that Id really love to visit sometime. Thus if I were able to speak French, I would

、then be able to converse with the locals, which would give me a much better understanding of the country and also make my time there a lot more interesting and enjoyable.Anyway, as for how I would learn it, well I guess first of all I would try and find a decent self-study course on the Internet. An

、d as well as that, I suppose another thing I would do would be to look for a teacher, preferably a native speaker if possible, because I would then be able to get feedback on what I was doing right and wrong. And having a native speaker as my teacher I think would be extremely beneficial in terms of

、 developing a good accent. And regarding what equipment I would need to study French, well thinking about it, I suppose it would be more or less the same as what Ive been using for learning English, so basically a laptop and mp4 player, with which I would be able to download various things like podca

、sts and other learning materials onto.So thats probably how I would learn the language, and finally, with regard to what difficulties I think I might encounter, well firstly, I imagine I might have quite a bit of difficulty with the pronunciation, as its so different to Chinese. I mean, there are so

、 many sounds in French which we dont have in our language, so Im sure it would take an extremely long time to speak it well. And besides the pronunciation, I guess it might also be pretty difficult mastering the grammar, simply because every language has its own set of grammar rules, and Im sure Fre

、lm about the future you read or watched. You should say:What the name of it wasWhen you read or watched itWhat it was aboutAnd explain how you felt about it.Ok right then, well the film Im gonna talk about is called Waterworld, the reason being that its the only one I can actually remember watching w

、hich was set in the future. So anyway, as for when I watched it, well I suppose it must have been around five or six years ago, when I was still at middle school. And regarding what the film was about, well basically, its set at a time when the planet is almost completely submerged in water, because t

、he ice caps have all melted due to global warming, and so the sea levels have risen to a point where all land has pretty much been covered by water. So thats the situation, and basically what happens in the film is that everyones living on boats and looking for land. And if I remember correctly, ther

、es a girl whos got some kind of map tattooed on her which shows where land can actually be found.Anyway, to cut a long story short, the film finishes with them eventually finding the land and living happily ever after, which came as no surprise to me, seeing as most Hollywood movies tend to end that

、 way.So yeah, thats basically the gist of it, and as for what I thought of the film, well to tell you the truth I didnt really think it was all that good, because I mean the plot was a bit too predictable, you know, there was no real suspense. So in that respect, I thought it could have been better.

、 But saying that, I suppose there were also a few things I did like about it, one of which was the special effects, which I thought were pretty impressive. And another thing I liked about the film was that it made me really kind of appreciate the land that we have around us, which I know sounds a bit

、 ridiculous, but I mean, before watching the film, I kind of just took it for granted and didnt really think much about it. So in a way it sort of helped me appreciate my life a bit more, if you know what I mean!Notes:the reason being that = because 由于It must have been around = It was about 大概,大概to
