13、奏(乐器)”,这时表示乐器的名词前须带定冠词the。女口playthepiano/violin。(3)play表示“装扮、扮演”。如:playadoctor/LuXun/thefool扮一名医生/扮演鲁迅/装傻(4)playwithfire玩火,playwithwater玩水,playwithballs玩球,这些短语中的介词with不能丢。play还有一些其他常见的用法和含义。(5)playsth.forsb.=playsb.sth.为某人播放(6)play+sth.+on+乐器用某乐器演奏(某乐曲)2.helpsb.dosth.与helpsb.withsth.Canyouhelpkidswi

14、thswimming?你能教孩子游泳吗?Helpsb.withsth.此词组的意思为“在某方面帮助某人”,还可以说helpsb.dosth.。如果上下文意义较明确时,两个词组可以互换。注:在helpsb.withsth.结构中,with是介词,故动词应变为doing形式,doing相当于名词,作介词宾语。Canyouhelpkidswithswimming?=Canyouhelpkidsswim?3.Can的用法can是英语中最常用的几个情态动词之一,它没有人称和数的变化,不能独立作谓语,必须与主要的谓语动词的原形连用。can本身不表示动作,只表示体力或脑力方面的能力。例如:(1)I/We/Y
