ThenominalvaluesofSLR/RLRtothePOIshallbe:SLR=8±3dB;
RLR=2±3dB.
Whereauser-controlledreceivingvolumecontrolisprovided,theRLRshallmeetthenominalvalueforatleastonesettingofthecontrol.Whenthecontrolissetto um,theRLRshallnotbe≤(equalorlouderthan)-13dB.
WiththevolumecontrolsettotheminimumpositiontheRLRshallnotbe≥(equalorquieterthan)18dB.

Whereavolumecontrolisprovided,themeasurednoiseshallbe≤
-54dBPa(A)attheumsettingofthevolumecontrol.
Forthenominalvolumecontrolsetting,thelevelofsinglefrequencydisturbancesshouldbe≤-60dBPa(A)inthefrequencyrangefrom100Hzto10kHz.Asaperformanceobjectiveitis mendedthatthelevelshouldbe≤-64dBPa(A).

Theuseofacousticechocontrolisnotmandatedfor3GworksandtheconnectionbetweentheUEandthePOIiszeroloss.ThereforetheacousticechocontrolprovidedinUEshouldprovideaTCLwofatleast40dBatthePOIoverthelikelyrangeofacousticenddelays.
