同学们都知道“whitelie”,白色的谎言,即“善意的谎言”。其实英文中还有很多

与white有关的表达,理解起来都不可直译,下面我们就一起来看看吧!

l.awhitenight不是指夜晚被月光笼罩呈现白色,而是指“不眠之夜;失眠的晚

上”。另外awhitenight还可被用来指“护花使者”。

2.awhiteday,既然有awhitenight,那肯定就有awhiteday,很显然,这不是"白天”

的意思。awhiteday通常是指“吉利的日子潢道吉日;情人节”等。

3.awhitehat白色的帽子,除了这个意思外,awhitehat还有另一个意思。在美国

【译文】

太极拳

太极拳原名长拳、绵拳、八门五步等,至清朝乾嘉年间王宗岳著《太极拳论》

后,世人才统一以太极拳名之。

“太极”本是中国传统哲学中的一个术语,源自《周易》。在宋朝时,周敦颐著写

《太极图说》,并在其所绘的“太极图”中把“太极”画成一个圆圈状。

受到图画的启发,太极拳的发明者们,以在空中不停地画圆为太极拳贯穿始终

的动作,同时吸取传统气功、道教呼吸练习中以意引气、以静制动的功法,再结合其

他拳术的击打套路,创制出了太极拳。

太极拳最大的特点就是以柔克刚。太极拳在演练时,动作舒展、柔缓,似乎丝毫

不具攻击力。

但是,当太极拳手进入实战状态时,便会以柔缓的动作巧妙地化解对方的攻击

力,然后借力打力,以突然爆发的刚劲,将对手击倒或击退。

现代医学证实,长期练习太极拳,对于改善人们的心肺功能,增强体质,甚至延年

益寿都有显著的功效。

目前,太极拳深受世界各地人们的练习和喜爱。
