1.Accordingtotheuser'sFTTxdataplan,thecommissioningengineerpreparesthenetwork

planningsheetandobtainstheresourcedeploymentsheet.

2.ThecommissioningengineerimportstheresourcedeploymentsheetthroughtheNMSto

implementthepredeploymentfortheONU.

3.ThehardwareinstallationengineerdrawstheONUsandsendsthemtothedestinationsites,

andthenperformshardwareinstallation,wiring,andpower-onoperationsatthedestination

sites.

4.ThehardwareinstallationengineercheckstherunningstatusoftheONUthatisinstalled

andpoweredon.

TherearetwoLEDs,namelyLinkandAuth,ontheONU.

lIftheLinkLEDison,itindicatesthattheupstreamopticalpathisthrough.

lIftheAuthLEDisblinking,itindicatesthattheONUisregistering.

5.AfterconfirmingthattheONUworksinthenormalstate(theLinkLEDisonandtheAuth

LEDblinks),thehardwareinstallationengineerrecordstheONUSNandreportstheSN

tothecommissioningengineer.

6.ThecommissioningengineermapstheONUSN,themanagementIPaddressoftheONU,

andthephysicalpositionoftheONU,andbindstheIPaddressandtheSNoftheONU

throughtheNMS.

7.Afterbeingpoweredon,theONUregisterswiththeOLTautomatically.Then,theOLT

sendsthemanagementchannelparametersoftheONU(managementVLAN,IPaddress,

andSNMPparameters)totheONUandalsosendsthetrapmessagetotheNMSfor

informingtheNMSthatanONUgoesonline.

8.ThecommissioningengineerreceivesthetrapindicatingthattheONUgoesonlinereported

bytheOLTontheNMS.

AfterthetrapindicatingthattheONUgoesonlineisreceivedontheNMS,theONU

managementchannelisenabledsuccessfully.Then,youcanremotelyconfigureservices

fortheONUthroughtheNMS.

3.ThehardwareinstallationengineercheckstherunningstatusoftheONUthatisinstalled

6.Thecommissioningengineerenablestheauto-discoveryfunctionoftheOLTfortheONU.

7.ThecommissioningengineeraddstheONUtotheOLTaccordingtothedataplanofthe

OLTandONUandtheSNreportedbythehardwareinstallationengineer.

8.ThecommissioningengineerconfiguresthemanagementIPaddressoftheONUthrough

theOLT.

1.Intheusermode,runthedisplaylanguagecommandtocheckwhetherthemulti-

languageinformationsupportedbythesystemandthesystemversionmeetthe

deploymentrequirement.

2.Intheusermode,runthedisplayversioncommandtocheckwhethertheversionsof

thehostsoftwareandpatchthatisrunninginthesystemmeetthedeployment

requirement.

lTheprocedureofcheckingthesoftwareversionthroughtheiManagerU2000isasfollows:

1.IntheWorkbenchwindow,double-click.TheMainTopologywindowis

displayed.Click.

2.IntheSearchdialogbox,selectNEfromtheSearchTypedrop-downlistandenter

thedescriptionoftheMA5616tobequeried.Then,clickSearch.

3.Inthesearchresult,selectthedesiredMA5616.ClickLocateandselectLocateto

NEPanelfromthelist.IntheDeviceDetailedInfotabpage,verifythatthedevice

typeandactivatedpatchmeetthedeploymentrequirement.

boardcommandtoquerythestatusofalltheboards.

lTheprocedureofcheckingtheboardstatusthroughtheiManagerU2000isasfollows:

AboutThisChapter

onactualrequirements.

3.1ConfiguringtheMaintenanceTerminal

ThistopicdescribesthreemodesofmanagingtheMA5616fromthemaintenanceterminal.

3.2ConfiguringtheU2000

TheMA5616canbeinterconnectedwithHuaweiiManagerU2000(hereinafterreferredtoas

U2000).Hence,theadministratorcanmaintainandmanagethedevicethroughtheU2000.The

MA5616canbeinterconnectedwiththeU2000ininbandoroutbandnetworkingmode.The

followingpartdescribeshowtoconfiguretheinbandnetworkingandoutbandnetworkingbased

onSNMPV1,SNMPV2c,andSNMPV3
