状語從句状語從句在句中作状語，可分為：時间、条件、让步、原因、目的、成果、比较、地點、方式状語從句。一、時间状語從句引导時间状語從句的连詞有：when,as,while,until,not…until,before,after,since,theminute,themoment,each(every,next,thefirst)time等。時间状語從句中一般用一般目前時或一般過去時。1.when,while,as都可解释為“當```的時候”但侧重點有所不一样。(1)whenEg:WhenIarrivedhome,Ihadalittlerest.注意：when從句的主語与主句主語相似，谓語動詞是be動詞時，從句主語和be可以省略。Eg:When(shewas)walkingalongthestreet,shemetherclassteacher.(2)as除了表达“當```的時候”，還可表达為“一面```一面”，“伴随”Eg:Hesangashedanced.(一面```一面)Youwillgrowwiserasyougrowolder.(伴随)(3)while表达“當...的時候”强调主句的動作和從句的動作同步发生，從句一般用進行時，從句動詞必须是延续性動詞。Eg:Whilewewereworking,theywerehavingarest.While(theywere)havingadiscussion,theygotveryconfused.注意：while有對比的含义，解释為“然而”。Eg:Ipreferblacktee,whilehelikescoffee.until,not…until表达“直到```才”，在肯定句中主句常用延续性動詞；在否认句中主句常用短暂性動詞。肯定句：Iwaiteduntilmidnight.否认句：Ididnotleaveuntilmidnight.注意(1)notuntil…在句首，主句用倒装Eg:NotuntilyouhadexplainedhowdidImanagetodoit.(2)Itisnotuntil…that…引导的强调句Eg:Itwasnotuntilitwasdarkthathecameback.3.theminute,themoment,eachtime都可表达“一```就```”Eg:Theworkerrecognizedthetypeofthemachinethemomenthesawit.注意：theminute,themoment,each(every,next,thefirst)time作连詞不和when连用。4．Hardly/scarcely…when,nosooner…than,assoonas表达為“一```就```”Eg:Ihadhardly/scarcelygothomewhenitbegantorain.Ihadnosoonergothomethanitbegantorain.ItbegantorainassoonasIgothome.注意：Hardly/Scarcely…when,nosooner…than位于句首，主句用倒装Eg:HadIhardly/scarcelygothomewhenitbegantorain.NosoonerhadIgothomethanitbegantorain.二、条件状語從句条件状語從句分為两大类：真实条件句和虚拟条件句。引导条件状語從句的连詞有：if,evenif/though,unless/if…not,aslongas/solongas,asfaras/sofaras,provided/providing(that),onconditionthat等。条件状語從句中假如主句是未来時，条件状語從句用一般目前時。unless和if…notunless相称于if…notEg:Youwillfailunlessyoustudyhard.Youwillnotfailifyoustudyhard.注意： 在虚拟条件句中可用if…not，但不能用unlessEg:Ifshewerenottoosilly,shewouldunderstand.引导条件状語從句的其他连詞：Eg:Youmaygothere,aslongasyoukeepquite.Eg:Ishallgiveyouthebookonconditionthatyoureturnittomorrow.Eg:Iwillgoprovidedthatyougotoo.三、让步状語從句引导让步状語從句的连詞有：though,although,evenif/though,however,nomatterhow,nomatterwhat,nomatterwho等。though,although不可与but连用，但可以和yet,still连用.Eg:Though/Althoughitisraining,theyarestillrunningoutside.注意：(1)though可引导倒装(although不引导倒装)，构造為：强调對象+as/though+主語+其他成分【强调對象可為表語（名詞、形容詞）或状語（副詞），表語為名詞時，前面不用冠詞。】Eg:Childas/thoughhewas,heknewwhatwastherightthingtodo.Tiredasheis,hegoesonwithhiswork.despite和inspiteof也有让步意义，後接名詞或動詞，而though,although是连詞，後接從句。Eg:Despite/Inspiteofwantingtoseehimagain,sherefusedtoreplytohisletter.Though/Althoughshewantedtoseehimagain,sherefusedtoreplytohisletter.“nomatter+疑問詞”或“疑問詞+後缀ever”Eg:Nomatterwhathappened,hewouldnotmind.Whateverhappened,hewouldnotmind.注意：nomatter+疑問詞不能引导名詞性從句evenif/though表达“虽然”Eg:Hedoesn’twanttomarryherevenif/thoughhelovesherverymuch.四、原因状語從句引导原因状語從句的连詞有：because,since,as,nowthat,consideringthat,forthereasonthat,duetothefactthat,owingtothefactthat等。because語气最强，一般用于回答why提出的問題。注意：在Itwas…that…的强调构造中，强调原因状語從句可用because引导，不用since,as,for引导。Eg:Itisbecausesheistooinexperiencedthatshedoesnotknowhowtodealwiththesituation.since和assince的語气比because弱，比as强，表达间接的、已知的原因，自然的成果，表达“既然，由于”。Eg:As/Sinceyouarenotverywell,youhadbetterhavearest.for表达原因关系時，for分句是對第一分句内容的推断或猜测。Eg:Itmusthaverainedlastnight,forthegroundiswetnow.五、目的状語從句引导目的状語從句的连詞有：sothat,inorderthat,lest,incase,forfearthat等。Eg:Youmustspeakloudersothat/inorderthatyoucanbeheardbyall.Hewrotethenamedownforfearthatheshouldforgetit.Bettertakemoreclothesincasetheweatheriscold.注意：lest,incase,forfearthat所引导的状語從句中，動詞可以用虚拟語气，形式為should+動詞原形，也可不用虚拟語气，用動詞的一般目前時或一般過去時。Eg:Youhadbetterleavethekeyathomeincaseoneofusshouldthinkof/thinksofcomingback.六、成果状語從句引导成果状語從句的连詞有：sothat,so…that,such…that等Eg:Heissoyoungthathecannotgotoschool.Heissuchayoungboythathecannotgotoschool.常用句型：so+形容詞/副詞+that從句so+形容詞+a/an+單数可数名詞+that從句such+a/an+形容詞+單数可数名詞+that從句such+形容詞+复数可数名詞/不可数名詞+that從句so和such的搭配规律such修饰名詞或名詞詞组，so修饰形容詞或副詞，so還可接many,few,much,little等。Eg:sofoolishsuchafoolsoniceaflowersuchaniceflowersomany/fewflowerssuchniceflowerssomuch/littlemoneysuchrapidprogresssomanypeoplesuchalotofpeople七、比较状語從句引导比较状語從句的连詞有：as…as,than,notso…as,themore…themore等Eg:HespeaksEnglishasfluentlyashisbrother(does)Ican’tjumpso/ashighashe(does)Therearemoreworkersinthisfactorythanintheonenexttoit.Themoreyouread,themoreinteresting,youwillfindthenovelis.注意：连接詞than可作為关系代詞用。Eg:HewrotemorethanwasnecessaryDon’tcarrymoremoneythanisneeded八、地點状語從句引导地點状語從句的连詞有where,wherever以及where构成的复合詞等。Eg:Shefoundhercalculatorwhereshelostit.WhereverIam,Iwillmissyou.注意：Eg:IhappenedtoseeyourdictionaryliewhereIuseditlasttime.（地點状語從句）IhappenedtoseeyourdictionarylieinthelabwhereIuseditlasttime.（定語從句）九、方式状語從句引导方式状語從句的连接詞有as,justas,asif/though（一般用虚拟語气，也有用直陈語气的）等。Eg：Justdoasyouaretold.Theworkerswentonworkingasifnothinghadhappened.Hetalkedtothegirlasthoughhehadfalleninlovewithher.在justas...,so...构造中，as带有比方含义，意為“正如”，多用于正式文体。Eg:Justassomepeoplelikesports,sosomepeoplelikemusic.theway也可引导方式状語從句。Eg:YoushouldoperatethemachinethewayIdo.
