意为“欣赏;仰慕;赞赏”,常用搭配admiresb/sth(forsth),admiresb(fordoingsth)。e.g.Theyadmiredhimforhisworkmanship.他们很钦佩她的手艺。Weadmire(himfor)hishonesty.我们佩服他的诚实。5.so...that意思是“如此……以致”,so是副词,常常用来修饰形容词和副词,that引导结果状语从句,常和too…to…结构互换。一般常用下面几个结构:(1)so+形容词/副词+that…(2)so+形容词+a/an+单数可数名词+that…(3)so+many/few+复数可数名词+that…(4)so+much/little+不可数名词+that…e.g.Thisteacherissokindthatwealllikehim.Thisissointerestingabookthatweallenjoyreadingit.HehassomanybooksthatIcan’tcountthem.Therewassomuchfoodthatwecouldn’teatitall.Cooperativeinquiry6.However,mostpeoplethinkthatthestory

ofChang’eisthemosttouching.这里的however表示转折关系,是一个副词,意为“不过;然而”,相当于but。使用时注意位置。(1)放句首,其后要用逗号隔开(2)放句中时,前面用分号或逗号,后面用逗号隔开

Jimshewillcometomorrow.主句是过去时态,从句须用过去时态的某种形式。e.g.Shewassorrythatshehadn’tfinishedherworkontime.当宾语从句表示的是一个客观真理或者事实时,即使主句是过去时,从句也用一般现在时态。e.g.Theteachertoldhisclassthatlighttravelsfasterthansound.CooperativeinquiryGrammarFocus4.宾语从句的引导词(这里先介绍三个

:that,if,whether)(1)that引导宾语从句时,that在句中无词汇意义,在从句中不能充当成分,只起一个引导词的作用。that常常可以省略,但下面的情况不能省略。①当动词后接多于两个宾语从句时,第一个that可省,但后面的不可省。e.g.Hesaid(that)youweretooyoungtounderstandthematterandthathewasaskednottotellyou.②谓语动词与that宾语从句之间有插入语时,that一般不可省。e.g.JustthenInoticed,forthefirsttime,thatourmasterwaswearinghisfinegreencoatandhisblacksilkcap.③当that从句是充当双宾语中的直接宾语时,that不可省。例句:Ican’ttellhimthathismotherdied.CooperativeinquiryGrammarFocus④许多带复合宾语的句子,that引导的宾语从句经常移到句子后部,而用it作形式宾语,这时that不能省略。e.g.Ifinditnecessarythatweshoulddothehomeworkontime.(2)if/whether引导宾语从句,意为“是否”,

通常可互换,但在某些情况下不能互换。主要有下面这些情况。①介词后面的宾语从句不能用if,用whether。e.g.I’mthinkingofwhetherweshouldgotoseethefilm.②当后面紧跟ornot时,不用if,用whether,若ornot放句尾,则都能使用。e.g.Idon’tknowwhether/ifhewillcomeornot.

引导否定概念的宾句时,则只用if不用whether。e.g.HeaskedifIdidn’tcometoschoolyesterday.5.What和How引导的感叹句(1)What引导的感叹句句型为:what+名词词组+主语+谓语!名词词组可以有这几种形式:①a/an+形容词+可数名词单数②形容词+不可数名词
