Inthesecondexperiment,98studentswereofferedchocolatedescribedascontainingeithernaturalor

syntheticcocoa,withresearchersintroducinganelementofriskbymentioningpotentialstomach

discomfort.Remarkably,84%stillchosethenaturaloption,maintainingtheirpreferenceevenwhenfacing

possibleadverseeffects.

Thethirdexperimentextendedtheresearchbeyondlaboratorysettings,approaching200passers-byon

astreet.Participantsevaluatedstickersdescribedasusingnaturalorsyntheticink,thenselectedonetokeep.

Resultsshowed66%preferrednatural-labeledstickers,whichtheyalsoratedashigherqualityandmore

appealingthantheirsyntheticcounterparts.

"Thevastmajorityofsubjectsexhibitedaclearbehavioralpreferencethatwasinfluencedsolelyby

the‘natural'labelacrossallthreeexperimentalcontexts,”Meierstated.Theresearch,whichspanned

diversesettingsandproductcategories,yieldedremarkablyconsistentresults,stronglyconfirmingthe

profoundimpactofnaturalnessbrandingonconsumerdecision-making.
