dronedeliveryroute,whichiscurrentlyundergoingtestflightsacrossthreepilotvillages.Itis
predictedtoofficiallylaunchflightoperationsinearlyDecember,withplanstoexpandto13
villageswithintheregionuponthesuccessfulcompletionofthetrialphase.
XinzhoudistrictislocatedintheremoteDabieMountains,featuringvastmountainsand
forests.Mostofthevillagesarequitefarapartinthisarea,leadingtoadispersed(分散的)
population.Asonlineshoppingexperiencessignificantgrowthandthedemandfordelivery

neededbybees.Thenextstepwastopreparethefoodinaformthatbeeswouldaccept.Since
beesarepickyeaters,theteammadeasoft“cookie-dough”mixturewithbee-friendly
ingredients.
Thescientiststestedthenewfoodinglasshouses.Theresultswereimpressive.Colonies
thatatethesuperfoodproduceduptofifteentimesmoreyoungbeesthancoloniesthatdidnot
