高中英语阅读教学中思维品质培养现状的调查研究Abstract:ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatethecurrentstateofcultivatingthinkingqualityinhighschoolEnglishreadingteaching.Theresearchmethodologyemployedisacombinationofliteraturereview,questionnairesurveys,andclassroomobservations.Thefindingsindicatethatwhiletherearesomeeffortsmadetoenhancestudents'criticalthinkingskillsthroughvariousteachingactivities,suchasdiscussiongroupsandproblem-solvingexercises,theoveralleffectivenessofthesemethodsremainsinsufficient.Additionally,theresearchhighlightstheneedformorecomprehensiveandsystematicstrategiestocultivatestudents'thinkingabilitiesinEnglishreading.Introduction:Theimportanceofthinkingqualityinlanguagelearningcannotbeoverstated.Itisnotmerelyaboutmasteringvocabularyandgrammarrulesbutalsoaboutdevelopingcriticalthinking,analytical,andcreativeabilities.Inthiscontext,highschoolEnglishreadingteachingplaysacrucialroleinnurturingstudents'thinkingqualities.However,thecurrentstateofcultivatingthinkingqualityinthisareaisfarfromsatisfactory.ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatethecurrentstateofcultivatingthinkingqualityinhighschoolEnglishreadingteaching.Methodology:Toachievethisobjective,theresearchmethodologyemployedacombinationofliteraturereview,questionnairesurveys,andclassroomobservations.Firstly,aliteraturereviewwasconductedtoidentifyexistingstudiesonthetopicofcultivatingthinkingqualityinEnglishreadingteaching.Thisreviewhelpedtoestablishthebackgroundandscopeoftheresearch.Secondly,aquestionnairesurveywasdesignedtocollectdatafromteachersandstudentsregardingtheirperceptionsandexperienceswithEnglishreadingteaching.Thequestionnaireincludedquestionsrelatedtothefrequencyofcriticalthinkingexercises,theeffectivenessoftheseexercises,andthechallengesfacedduringimplementation.Finally,classroomobservationswereconductedtoobservetheactualteachingpracticesinEnglishreadingclasses.Theseobservationsallowedforamoredetailedunderstandingoftheteachingstrategiesusedandtheeffectivenessofthesestrategiesinfosteringthinkingqualities.Findings:ThefindingsofthestudyrevealseveralkeypointsregardingthecurrentstateofcultivatingthinkingqualityinhighschoolEnglishreadingteaching.Firstly,whiletherearesomeeffortsmadetoenhancestudents'criticalthinkingskillsthroughvariousteachingactivities,suchasdiscussiongroupsandproblem-solvingexercises,theoveralleffectivenessofthesemethodsremainsinsufficient.Thissuggeststhatthereisroomforimprovementinthedesignandimplementationoftheseactivities.Secondly,theresearchhighlightstheneedformorecomprehensiveandsystematicstrategiestocultivatestudents'thinkingabilitiesinEnglishreading.Thisincludesthedevelopmentofinnovativeteachingmethods,theintegrationoftechnologyintotheclassroom,andtheestablishmentofasupportiveenvironmentforstudentstoexploreandquestiontheirreadingmaterials.Conclusion:Inconclusion,thecurrentstateofcultivatingthinkingqualityinhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingisfarfromsatisfactory.Whiletherearesomeeffortsmadetoenhancestudents'criticalthinkingskillsthroughvariousteachingactivities,theoveralleffectivenessofthesemethodsremainsinsufficient.Therefore,itisessentialtoinvestmoreresourcesandeffortindevelopingcomprehensiveandeffectivestrategiestocultivatestudents'thinkingabilitiesinEnglishreading.Bydoingso,wecanensurethatourstudentsnotonlyacquireknowledgebutalsodeveloptheintellectualcapabilitiesnecessarytosucceedintoday'sglobalizedworld.Inconclusion,thecurrentstateofcultivatingthinkingqualityinhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingisfarfromsatisfactory.Whiletherearesomeeffortsmadetoenhancestudents'criticalthinkingskillsthroughvariousteachingactivities,theoveralleffectivenessofthesemethodsremainsinsufficient.Therefore,itisessentialtoinvestmoreresourcesandeffortindevelopingcomprehensiveandeffectivestrategiestocultivatestudents'thinkingabilitiesinEnglishreading.Bydoingso,wecanensurethatourstudentsnotonlyacquireknowledgebutalsodeveloptheintellectualcapabilitiesnecessarytosucceedintoday'sglobalizedworld.Toachievethisgoal,educatorsmustincorporateavarietyofteachingmethodologiesthatchallengestudents'analyticalandcreativethinking.Thiscouldincludeinteractivediscussions,multimediapresentations,andproject-basedlearning.Additionally,teachersshouldprovideampleopportunitiesforstudentstoreflectontheirreadingexperiencesandengageinpeerreview.Byfosteringacultureofinquiryandencouragingstudentstoexplorediverseperspectives,wecanhelpthemdevelopalifelongloveforlearningandcriticalthinkingskillsthatwillservethemwellbeyondtheclassroom.Finally,itiscrucialforeducatorstorecognizethatthedevelopmentofthinkingqualitiesisalong-termprocessthatrequiresconsistentpracticeandsupport.Byprovidingstudentswiththetoolsandresourcestheyneedtosucceed,wecanhelpthembuildtheintellectualfoundation
