facewassurelyredandmyheartwaspoundingoutofmychestwhileIwailedfortheschool
internettoconnectfaster.Iopenedtheportal(入口)andwhentheletterstartedwith
"Thankyouforyourapplicationtoouruniversity.Afteracarefiilreview..."Ifeltmyface
growinghotter.
Thisfearwasapplicableanywhereelse:fearofgettingrejectedfromajoboffer,fear
ofhavingtheprojectorideasrejected,oreventhefearofbeingrejectedfromafriendgroup,
amongsomanyothersituations.Becauseofthisfear,Imissedoutonsomanyopportunities
togrow.
ThisfearhungovermeuntilIconversedquitebyaccidentwithmyteacher,MrSmith,
whowasaveryunderstandingperson,andtoldhimmyinnerthoughts.Hetoldme
everythingwedidhadrejectionattachedtoitinsomeway.Receivingrejectionsdidnotmean
we'renotgoodenough,butmeantthatwetriedourbestforthetimebeing.Beingrejected
wasterriblewhilebutforexperiencingthescariness,wewouldnotgroworevensucceed.
Whenwesucceededinwhateverwedid,therewardtastedsweeterthansomethingthatwas
easilyobtained.
Idecidedtobecomfortablewiththisfear.Now,theresultdocsgeteasier;Iam
annoyedattherejectionless,beingabletobouncebackandsubmitanotherapplication
quicker.Alongthejourneyofrejections,Irealizedthat1wasn'tincapablebutcouldgainalot
duringtheprocess.Andthatwasenough.

benefitedthehungryzooplankton.Instead,thezooplanktonstruggledtosurvive.That's
