初中生英语选择疑问句语调习得的实验研究Abstract:Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheacquisitionofquestionintonationbyjuniorhighschoolstudents,focusingontheroleofcontextandinstructionalmethodsinpromotingtheirpronunciationaccuracy.Byemployingamixed-methodsapproach,wecollecteddatafrombothquantitativeandqualitativesourcestoanalyzetheinfluenceofvariousfactorsonstudents'abilitytoproducecorrectquestionintonation.Ourfindingssuggestthatcontextualcuesarecrucialforlearnerstoaccuratelyproducequestionintonation,whileinstructionalstrategiessuchasmodelingandfeedbackcansignificantlyenhancelearners'performance.Theresultsofthisstudyhavesignificantimplicationsforlanguageteachingandlearning,particularlyinthefieldofEnglishasaforeignlanguageeducation.Introduction:TheacquisitionofquestionintonationisafundamentalaspectofEnglishlanguagelearning,asitisessentialforeffectivecommunicationandcomprehension.However,researchhasshownthatmanyjuniorhighschoolstudentsstrugglewithproducingcorrectquestionintonationduetoalackofexposuretoappropriatepronunciationmodelsandinstructionalguidance.Thisstudyaimstofillthisgapbyinvestigatingtheacquisitionofquestionintonationbyjuniorhighschoolstudentsandexaminingtheroleofcontextandinstructionalmethodsinpromotingaccuratepronunciation.Methodology:Toachieveourobjectives,weconductedamixed-methodsresearchdesigninvolvingbothquantitativeandqualitativeapproaches.Werecruitedasampleof100juniorhighschoolstudentsfromdifferentregionsacrossChinatoparticipateinthestudy.Theparticipantsweredividedintotwogroups:experimentalgroup(n=50)andcontrolgroup(n=50).Theexperimentalgroupreceivedinstructionalguidanceonquestionintonationthroughacombinationofclassroominstructionandonlineresources,whilethecontrolgroupreceivedonlyclassroominstruction.DataCollection:Wecollecteddatausingacombinationofmethods,includingobservation,audiorecording,andself-reportsurveys.Weobservedthestudents'interactionsduringclassdiscussionsandindividualpracticesessionstoassesstheirabilitytoproducequestionintonation.Wealsorecordedaudiosamplesofthestudents'responsestoquestionsandanalyzedthemusingstandardizedpronunciationassessmenttools.Finally,weadministeredaself-reportsurveytothestudentstogathertheirperceptionsoftheeffectivenessoftheinstructionalmethodsusedinthestudy.Results:Ourfindingsrevealedthatcontextualcuesplayedasignificantroleinpromotingthestudents'abilitytoproducecorrectquestionintonation.Whenpresentedwithrelevantcontextualinformation,studentsdemonstratedhigherlevelsofaccuracyintheirpronunciation.Additionally,wefoundthatinstructionalmethodssuchasmodelingandfeedbacksignificantlyimprovedthestudents'performanceinproducingquestionintonation.Specifically,studentswhoreceivedinstructionalguidanceonquestionintonationshowedasignificantimprovementintheirpronunciationaccuracycomparedtothosewhoreceivedonlyclassroominstruction.Conclusion:Theresultsofthisstudyhaveimportantimplicationsforlanguageteachingandlearning,particularlyinthefieldofEnglishasaforeignlanguageeducation.Theyhighlighttheimportanceofincorporatingcontextualcuesandinstructionalmethodsthatpromoteaccuratepronunciationintolanguageteachingpractices.Futureresearchshouldcontinuetoexploretheeffectivenessofdifferentinstructionalapproachesandhowtheycanbeintegratedintoexistinglanguageteachingmodelstosupporttheacquisitionofquestionintonationbyjuniorhighschoolstudents.Inconclusion,thisstudyhasshedlightonthecrucialroleofcontextandinstructionalmethodsinenhancingthepronunciationaccuracyofjuniorhighschoolstudents.Thefindingssuggestthatincorporatingcontextualcuesandemployinginstructionalstrategiessuchasmodelingandfeedbackcansignificantlyimprovestudents'abilitytoproducequestionintonation.Thisresearchcontributestotheongoingdebateoneffectivelanguageteachingapproachesandhighlightstheneedformorecomprehensiveandpersonalizedinstructionalstrategiestosupportlearnersatalllevels,particularlythoseintheearlystagesoflanguageacquisition.Aswecontinuetoexplorethenuancesoflanguagelearning,itisessentialtorecognizethediverseneedsandabilitiesof
