pencilmarksforyears,andwhenIwentofftocollege,Ipackedthatdictionaryinmysuitcase.

Kevinwantedtoseethedictionary.Ifeltasmallpaininmychest.Thedictionarywasstolenattheendofmy

freshmanyearofcollege.“That’ssosad,”hesaid,“butyoustillknowallthosewords,evenwithoutthebook.”I

realizedthatthiswastrue.Istillmadeitthroughthenextthreeyearsofcollege,evenwithoutthebook.Andit
