Shipmentisoneoftheessentiallinksinthechainofinternationaltrade.Themainactivitiesofitincludecustomclearance,charteringorshippingspacebooking,obtainingshippingdocumentsafterpassinggoodstotheshippingcompanyandsendingshippingadvice.Goodscanbetransportedbyroad,railorair,butinmostcasesofinternationaltrade,bysea.

ThisProjectfocusesonthemostcommontransportmethod—oceantransportation,andonthenecessaryworkrelatedtoshipmentfromtheperspectiveandpositionofanexporter.BasicKnowledgeConcernedPart12.TheRequirementsofShipment

Inasalescontract,asalesconfirmationoraletterofcredit,termsofshipmentareindispensable.Termsofshipment,whichindicatethelatestshipmenttime,portsofloadingandunloading/destination,shippingdocumentsneededandstipulationconcerningpartialshipmentandtransshipment,aretherequirementsofshipmentagreedbyboththesellerandbuyerwhoenterintothesalescontract.
