Almosteveryinternationaltransactionbyseagetsinvolvedininsurancebecausetherisksintheseavoyageareunexpectedandvaried.Thereforeitnowhasbecomethecommonsensethatinsuranceshouldbeboughtinaninternationaltransaction,eitherbytheexporterortheimporter.BasicKnowledgeConcernedPart12.TheCoverageofInsurance

Usually,therearethreekindsofbasicriskscoverage.TheyareFPA(FreefromParticularAverage),WA/WPA(WithParticularAverage)andAR(AllRisks).Theinsuredneedstochooseoneofthemtoinsureagainst.IntermsoftherangeofriskscoverageFPAisincludedinWA/WPA,andWA/WPAisincludedinAR.
