The visual aids you use in your speech,A Brief Summary,All those mentioned above count for a good speech. Yet, it doesnt necessarily mean that you have t

3、o get all in your speech. In the course, we are going to cover most of them one by one and see how we can make good use of them.,1.Informative speech,You will select a topic for a 3-minute speech that explains how to do something or describes an idea, process, concept, etc. You will also answer two

4、questions from other students.,Section One: How to prepare and present a speech,In this class, you will learn to become a better speaker. Well work on delivery , using solid supporting arguments, being persuasive, and many other things.,How to prepare and present a speech,The speeches you will give

5、in this class include an informative speech, and a persuasive speech. 7、ou have? 4.What strong opinions and beliefs do you hold? 5.What would you like to know more about?,Step 2: Make a thesis,The definition: A thesis is a concise and complete statement which consists of the main idea of your speech.,Step 2: Make a thesis,What makes a good thesis? 1. Makes a point in a

8、concise, complete sentence 2. Infants die unnecessarily because their mothers cannot afford prenatal care. Adults suffer from tuberculosis, heart attacks and other di

13、seases because they do not have access to the system. And the elderly cannot get needed long-term care because they do not have the money. Our health system needs help.,Miss Wang,Because it is. Ive got insurance-who cares about other people. Doctors can prescribe drugs anyway. They do cost a lot but
