12、e he look like?-He is tall and thin.What be 某人like?用于询问某人的 -What is he like?-He is friendly.重点语法:【用法】There be句型的用法: 主要用以表达“某处有某人(某物)。”基本结构为“There be+某物(某人)+某地(某时)”(1) be是谓语动词,在一般现在时中be只用is和are两种形式。There is a book on the desk.There are some bananas in the basket.(篮子)要用is还是are,须看其后的名词是单数还是复数。若是单数或不可数名

13、词用is,否则就用are。There _ a tree behind the house.There _ some water in the bottle.There _ some pears in the box.(2) 注意:如果“be”后的主语是由and连接的两个或两个以上的名词,那么be的形式要遵循“远亲不如近邻”的原则。也是说,“be”的形式是由与它最近 的那个名词来确定的。若那个名词是单数或不可数名词要用is,是复数就用are。 There _ a book and some pens on the floor.There _ some pens and a book on the

14、 floor.3) 一般疑问句及其答语:把be提到there前,首字母大写,句末用问号即可。其肯定答语是Yes, there is / are;否定答语为No, there isnt / arent。-Are there two cats in the tree? -Yes, there are. No, there arent.4)否定句: there be的否定式通常在be后加not构成(在口语中be时常与not缩写在一起)。如果句中有some,一般要变成 。肯定句 There is some food on the table.否定句 There isnt food on the tab

15、le.疑问句 Is there food on the table.回答 Yes, there is. No, there isnt.There be 结构的句型转换 提问句子的主语(包括主语前的修饰语)时,句型一律用what is + 地点介词短语?(无论主语是单数还是复数都用is)。 There are some birds in the tree. Whats in the tree? 就there be后面的地点状语进行提问时,句型用where is / are + 主语?如: There is a car in the street. Where is the car? 提问可数名词

16、(主语)前的数量时,用how many,句型结构为how many + 复数名词 + are there + 其它?(主语无论是单数还是复数,be通常要用are)。如: There is a cat under the bed. How many cats are there under the bed?配套练习I.单项选择1.
