20、lson Mandela?,Nelson Mandela was born on 18 July, 1918 in Transkei, South Africa. Rolihlahla Mandela became the first member of his family to attend a school, where his teacher Miss Mdingane gave him the English name Nelson.,After enrolling, Mandela began to study for a Bachelor of Arts at the Fort

21、Hare University, where he met Oliver Tambo. Tambo and Mandela became lifelong friends and colleagues.,After the 1948 election victory of the Afrikaner- dominated National Party, Mandela began actively participating in politics. Nelson Mandela was elected the first black President in South Africa in
