前言

一项新兴额金属加工技术自方法发明、原理验证、技术改进到工业化推广应用一般要经历几十年甚至更长的时间。焊接技术也是一样，如钎焊、电弧焊、激光焊、电子束焊等都精力了类似的过程。但是搅拌焊不同，1991年英国焊接研究所（The welding Institute-TWI）发明了搅拌摩擦焊(Friction Stir Welding，简称FSW)，伺候搅拌摩擦焊以任何一种焊接方法无可比拟的发展速度，迅速走出实验室，在国际工业制造领域（船舶、轨道列车、航空、航天、汽车、兵器电子电力等）得到大规模工程化应用。作为一项创新的固相连接方法，搅拌摩擦焊正在大步取代传统铝合金焊接方法，在铝合金结构制造及铝型材加工领域，迎来革命性的跨时代发展。
