Module 4 A Social Survey-A Lively City 泰来县第一中学高一英语组 高艳梅 各位评委，老师大家好： 今天我说课的内容是外研版英语教材必修 1 第四模块的话题 A Social Survey 中的第二课时，ReadingA Lively City。 教材分析教材分析 外研社高一新课程教材第四模块这一部分内容主要是通过社会调查 这个方法来使学生关注自己生活的社区及其发展，培养学生热爱家 乡的意识和社会责任感。阅读部分是介绍 Xiamen 的一篇文章。根 据新课标我设计教材内容和意图如下：搭配适当的问题，让学生有 目的地去听去读，培养他们用英语获取信息和解决问题的能力，更 好地理解文章内容；后面加上适当的讨论，巩固学习的效果并且培 养学生的合作意识。以此为基础再设计安排写作，培养他们的综合 技能，为以后的学习作良好的铺垫。 学情分析学情分析 高一学生刚接触高中英语学习，他们的年龄特点等等这些都决定了 他们对新事物的好奇心和强烈的求知欲，对新事物的热情是学生学 习的优势。但是学生在英语基础上的差异和初高中英语要求的不同， 使得学生要有时间去适应并调整，这些是学生学习英语存在的客观 条件，教师要给予必要的指导和关注，才能使学生顺利地度过这个 过渡时期。 根据新课程标准确立教学目标如下根据新课程标准确立教学目标如下 1. 知识与技能 Knowledge and ability： 理解对话内容，猜生词，编对话 Comprehend the dialogue; Guess the meaning of new words ; Make a dialogue of introducing a city. 2. 过程与方法 Course and method：教师指导和学生合作学习，使 得学生可以做到主动探究，用英语去分析和解决问题。 Though the teachers guidance ,instructions and the studentscooperation, the students can study and solve the problems actively and correctly. 3. 情感态度价值观 Emotion,attitude and values：培养学生的合作 意识；引导学生热爱自己的家乡；培养他们的社会责任感。 Develop Ss love with hometown. Introduce a city using the target vocabulary and sentences. 教学过程教学过程 Teaching steps: Reading and Vocabulary Step1 pre-reading: First, a guessing game （8） 1.Its a coastal city,where is beautiful and clean. 2.Its in Fujian province. 3.Its famous for Gulangyu Island. 4.There is a famous university in the city. (The students guess the citys name according to the statements.) Second, enjoy some pictures about Xiamen. The students try to describe the pictures. Third, the teacher asked: Suppose I want to know something about a city. What should you tell me about it? The possible answers: impression,scenery, people, traffic, climate, location, tourists, architectures(make it into a form) Step 2 While reading(22) 1.Read the passage quickly and find the answers to complete the form on the screen. 2. Read the passage ,answer the following questions and finish Activity 1 and Activity 2. 1.) Who is visiting whose hometown? 2.) Where does Xiao Li live? 3.) Whats the climate/weather like there? 4.) Which district is the most interesting part of Xiamen? 5.) What is Gulangyu Island like? 3.Role play the dialogue and try to say something about the lively city- Xiamen. Using the following pharases:one of the most attractive, friendly, the most interesting cities, the climate, many tourists, modern, high-rise buildings, harbour, pretty parks, Gulangyu Island, restaurant Step 3 Post-reading(5) Do you like travelling to Xiamen? Why? Why not? Step 4 Discussion and make a dialogue (10) Try to describe your hometown. Make a dislogue : show your friend around Tailai
