2010.9.24na(第7套) ad: colleges or universities should offer students a better job preparation before they start working.in this day and age, it is common that some college or university students cannot find a job, even if some of them get a job by chance, they change jobs frequently and they hop and seek, hunt and quit. thus, parents are worried and ask whether the colleges or universities should be responsible for this phenomenon. indeed, arguments have arisen and opinions are divided. despite all these, i believe that colleges or universities should offer students a better job preparation before they start working for the following reasons. firstly, the very important reason is that it can benefit the students. with school being the last stop before they enter society, students urgently need help from the school to prepare them better for the job market. thanks to the timely help and instructions provided by schools, students are able to have a better understand of the real society and themselves. in other words, these students know what they desire and what they are capable of in their life. such people usually have a clear mind and a clear picture of their future. accordingly, they can work with stronger determination, more efficiency and focus. such a virtue is of great significance for career success. if without such a virtue, the young will simply drift from one job to another and will be easily distracted.secondly, equally important is that it is beneficial for the schools. if a schools graduates can find ideal jobs, this will boost the schools reputation among its potential applicants, and can thus attract better students. undoubtedly, my university is a case in point. for proof, look no further than my university. it set up the most splendid career center which has an enormous reputation among students and employers. the career center is willing to create opportunities for us to establish the contact with the companies and organize job fairs every semester. for example, sometimes senior managers from local companies might be invited to give a lecture in our school, and at the job fair, our students have more accesses to companies for internship even the job. according to a survey conducted by the education department, 87% of students will take into account the career service of a university or college as the most important factor when they choose a university or college. this may well support my view.thirdly, matching the benefits of students and the benefits of schools is another essential factor that it can benefit the whole society. the universities or colleges help the students to make better transition from school to workplace, thus provide more qualified workers with both needed skills and mental readiness, which improve the productivity of the society. the schools are just like a bridge which facilitates matching process of the human resources and companies. if without this bridge, the aimless students easily get confused and the companies have to pay more cost to hunt for proper graduates. obviously, the efficiency of the society must be affected under such an awful process.on the basis of above discussion, i reiterate my view that the universities or colleges should offer a better job preparation for students who are ready to work. meanwhile, the students pay more focus on the job preparation actively rather than just wait for the help from the school with a passive attitude.2010.10.30na ad: people now are easier to become educated than in the past. nowadays, more and more people have attended universities or colleges; even they have gotten master or phd degrees, which can hardly imagine in the past. actually, it is no longer a fashion but rather a trend. yet, problems have surfaced up closely. some well-educated people cannot find a proper job and some of them hop and seek, hunt and quit. paradox is everywhere, so is the issue. thus, people begin to ask whether education is a blessing or a curse. despite all these, i strongly believe that people are easier to get educated and education is indispensible than ever before. my reasons are as follows. firstly, the advancement of new technology dramatically change the way of learning. in this 21st century-the information era, new technologies, be it internet or news media, play a significant role in education. especially, internet is a good case in point. in the wake of the internet, people have better platforms for learning and more accesses to updated information such as online academic journals, open courses, wikipedia and so on. thanks to the internet, people are able to gain abundant knowledge in all aspects easily, which markedly provides the great convenience for learning. for instance, people in the past had to spend days in libraries when they were trying to search for some relative information about certain subject. in contrast, people can shorten the process of information searching by just clicking the button of some search engine, which takes no more than two seconds. secondly, the government takes the education into account as an incentive factor for the development of a country. as a result, the government actively provides diverse kinds of opportunities for education and encourages people to go to schools, by building a great number of schools and giving fiscal support to poor people. according to a data released by the ministry of education, our government invests 5% of gdp into education to support this scheme. with the supportive policies, the bulk of people get educated by different sorts of means such as traditional schools or distance education, which incredibly increase the quality of citizen. (thirdly, matching the improvement of technologies and the support of government is another essential factor, that the better the education the better the job. better education leads to better abilities, with which people can deal with tough problems in work. in other words, one is faced less competition and more opportunities. in this day and age, people are under overwhelming pressure from the increasing competitors resulting from the rocketing growth of population. consequently, people in this day are eager to grasp any chance to learn even rack their minds to absorb a great deal of knowledge during a short period, which is unimaginable in the past. of course, there is an opposite view. those who stand against my view argue that employment has little to do with education. they may point out those self-made millionaires from zhejiang province had low education or no education, but all reached heights in their careers. indeed, this sounds reasonable, but only to some extent. the legends of such business icons can not explain that education is of little value for employment. my opponents have forgotten/ignored one basic fact: the success of the millionaires was built on a particular timethe reform and opening up of china and the opportunities. now, such a time, together with the opportunities is gone, once and forever. no one can succeed in employment without a proper education. )thirdly, matching the improvement of technologies and the support of government is another essential factor, higher income of people nowadays leads to better affordability of education.with skyrocketing economic growth, we live in a safe and affluent society. people are no longer satisfied with just feeding and housing themselves well. instead, they begin to ask for more education to promote their knowledge and ability to a higher level whereby they may easily secure a foothold in the fierce competition of todays world. according to a data released from department of education, nearly 86.7% of students at school have had tutors to instruct in their studies and 85.3% of employees have attended emba class during the weekends. this may well support my view.based on the above discussion, i should repeat that people are easier to become educated than in the past. and people should pay much more focus on education since it is a key way to success. fad: people can learn more from watching television than by reading books.in this day and age, our daily life is populated by television whose presence we barely notice but whose ubiquity influences our life deeply. however, a strong debate has raged over the idea of whether television has led to the “dumbing down” of society by distracting its viewers away from the more educational pastimes such as reading books. from my perspective, i believe that watching television is a better choice for us to learn more than reading books.firstly, television offers us the access to the latest development in science and technology. with the accelerated pace of the modern society, the development of science and technology is at an astounding speed. under this circumstance, television begins to play a crucial role in our life since the production of programs is shorter than the publication of a book. as a result the material of tv programs keep updating whereas the content of a book seems to be out of date and remain unchanged. for example, bbc documents and discovery channel open a fantastic new world for us to absorb abundant knowledge about cutting-edge technology and enable us to be well-informed as soon as possible. secondly, it is more convenient and accessible to gain information and knowledge from television. on one hand, there is no need to spare time to go to the library to select the books, which costs us a large amount of time to search for the related information. by contrast, one can just open the television then set the television to the program what we need exactly with the help of remote and sit on the sofa relaxed. on the other hand, it is possible to watch television for people at different places. television has become so accessible that when waiting for the bus we can watch the television hang on the wall; when walking in the downtown roads we can watch tv programs from the giant screen on the building. it seems that we are able to watch tv where there is a screen hang on. on the contrary, only in library or book store can we have the chance to read books. last but not least, abstract concepts and theories can be illustrated in a clear way by watching television. thanks to the advent of multimedia technology, television presents us the insanely addictive quality of programs with gorgeous graphics and immersive music. on the contrary, books hardly reach that height by merely adopting the written form or the still pictures. the comparison between national geographic television programs and books is a good case in point. in written form, national geographic can discuss the behavior of humans or animals and even show their behaviors in the form of pictures. however, a television program can give the same discussion as the book, while at the same time use moving pictures in the from of video to vividly recreate those behaviors right in front of viewers eyes. thus people can have a better understanding of the knowledge with the help of television. on the basis of above discussion, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that watching television is a wise method to learn more than reading books. with the ubiquity of television, it can save us lots of time and provide us the cutting-edge knowledge. 2011.1.15na some people think that a university professor should focus time on doing research; while others think that the main role of a professor is to educate students in a university. what is your opinion and why? nowadays, more and more professors in universities are occupied by all kinds of researches, having no time to educate students. literally, it is no longer a fashion, but rather a trend. yet, problems have arisen. professors rarely show up in the classrooms, instead, their teaching assistants who seem to be less experienced take the burden of teaching. to some extent, students, be it undergraduates or graduates, are disappointed about this situation. people begin to ask whether it is beneficial or harmful for professors to devote themselves to research only. despite all these, i strongly believe that professors place more attention to research for the following reasons. firstly, with the focus on research, professors can reach their heights in certain area, which foster the development of the universities. if a professor conduct a project of research, he somewhat will receive a large amount of money which is provided by the government or some companies as the grants. obviously, the grants are fiscally beneficial to the university, for example, the professor may purchase some instrumental equipment for the lab or books for the library. moreover, high quality research will result in publication in prestigious academic journals, thus, can raise the reputation of the professor, so is the university. accordingly, with the increasing reputation, more and more excellent potential high school students might choose such university and the authority in some area will be strengthen by those achievements. secondly, the professor can involve students in their research so students can learn about their fields with deeper insight. the work of a research is complicated and needs a great deal of effort, which means the professor can not complete such a huge task. accordingly, the professor will assign some research work to undergraduates or graduates, and even some students may eager to take part in a related research voluntarily. such a n assistance for professor, not only benefits the professor, but also has profound impact for students on academic learning. for proof, look no further than my experience with my professor. when informed that my biology professor needs assistance for his project in lab, i try to apply for that research position and i am chosen by my professor fortunately. my professor assigns me abundant books and journals to read, and gives me instructions of how to use devices for scientific research, which really improve my understanding of biology and apply my knowledge into practice. it is such a fantastic experience and i learn more knowledge in lab than in class.thirdly, among those convincing reasons, one should be mentioned that universities are essential producers of cutting-edge research for any countries. the universities are the paradise for research and attract most intelligent professors and exceptional students because of their advanced equipment, free academic atmosphere and drastic competitions. as a result, people place such high expectation on the university that professors definitely should focus on doing research. in reality, lots of technology advancement, innovative products and revolutionary theories come from the university. in a word, the university and its professor are the impetus of the whole society and of great significance for world. on the basis of above discussion, i should reiterate my view that the research is so essential and it, therefore, is supposed to being given precedence over teaching. however, the professor can not in any way neglect the education for the students, since they are the future of the world. 2011.7.8na (拼盘2) ad: the friends that you can have fun with are more important than the friends that you can get help from.whether in the past or in the present day, friendship has always been an important part of our life. as an old chinese saying goes that one can live in the society without family but not friends. thus arises the question what are the standards of choosing friends. indeed, arguments have appeared and opinions are divided. some prefer those with whom they could have more fun to those who will help when they get into trouble. while as for me, i view it just on the contrary for the following reasons.(admittedly, having fun with each other must have forever been the first step to make friends with each other. obviously, such friends share something in common. whatever it may be, reading, music and so on, common interests and topics shorten the distances between the guys who meet each other for the first time. and in the process of further communication, one may find it a great joy to get along with people of such kind. and whatever the fun may be, whether spiritual or material, without the possibility of having fun together, any so-called friendship will not be established. however, friendship merely based on fun will finally disappear like the temporary tides. )first of all, it is often said that a friend in need is a friend indeed. friends are those who can help you recover from the inside grief mood or accompany you through the most difficult part. in life, one will encounter various difficulties unavoidably, and a helping hand from our friends is necessary for us. for proof, look no further than the friendship between marx and engels. when marx was punished by the government and had to exile in europe, it is always engels who reached out his hand to help marx. engels sent money, wrote encouraging letters to marx and help marx finally come over the most difficult time. friends like engels are true friends who can help us indeed. equally significant is that the friends who can help you will give you suggestions and encouragements. friendships do not need please to maintain, they only require sincere love from both sides. a friend who really likes you would give his wholehearted suggestions when you did something inappropriate. although sometimes the words they say may not be palatable, they are the ones who truly care about you. and when you achieve success, they are willing to offer their timely congratulations not the flattering words. as a result, one can know better about ones strength and shortness through his or her real friends and they can learn mutually. and friends who only try their best to entertain you can not be defined as true friends. last but not least, the friends who can help
