Lesson 2A visit to the Dentist教学整体设计【教学目标】1.掌握文中单词dentist,refuse,toothache,rotten,fortunately,headset,aching,German,wolf并能熟练记忆;能够听懂并能说以下句子:Im really afraid of going to the dentist.I had no choice but to go with her.2.能够正确运用情态动词should来讲述句子。3.能够进一步在真实的语境中运用所学的单词、词组和句型,提高学生应用英语的意识和能力。引导学生将学习的语言运用到实际生活中,乐于、敢于表达。4.理解课文意思并能回答课后的问题。【教学重难点】重点:掌握文中重点短语be afraid of.,need to do.,have no choice hut to do.,dress in,it was difficult to do.,on the way to.和句型Im really afraid of going to the dentist.I had no choice but to go with her.难点:能准确应用本课中的词汇dentist,refuse,toothache,rotten,fortunately,headset,aching,German,wolf.【课前准备】多媒体,黑板,录音机 教学过程设计 教学过程一、创设情境,切入主题Step 1:Warming upT:Have you ever had a toothache?Ss:Yes,I have.T:What do you do when you have a toothache?Ss:I go to the dentists.T:How do you take care of your teeth?Ss:I brush my teeth twice a day and go to the dentists regularly.T:Wow!You really take good care of your teeth!I hope all of you can keep your teeth healthy!OK,now lets learn a new text about toothache and dentist.设计意图:以学生感兴趣的问题开始新课,吸引学生的兴趣。二、展开过程,探究新知Step 2:Presentation1.帮助学生创设情境编演一个小对话,让他们两人一组模仿编演。One is the dentist and the other is the patient.Doctor:Dont worry,you will be better soon.Patient:But Im still very nervous.Doctor:Maybe you can listen to some music first to relax yourself.设计意图:教师创设的小对话情景能吸引学生的学习兴趣,并且初步涉及到本课的一些词组的用法。2.The teacher lets students read the text by themselves first,then gives the students several minutes to find out the main phrases and sentences in the text.3.Explain the main phrases and main sentences to the students,and explain the language points of this text.设计意图:抓住课文重点难点,便于学生掌握本课知识点。Step 3:Drill1.Read the text again and do Exercise 1 and Exercise 2 on Page 5.2.Listen to the text and match each paragraph with its main idea.Then retell the story.设计意图:学生反复听磁带并跟读。第一次听,要求学生大概理解课文的意思。第二次听,改为一句一句听,仔细听出每句话的内容。第三次听完成上面的练习。通过反复听磁带并跟读培养学生们听说的能力。Step 4:Explain the whole text1.Explain the meaning of the whole text sentence by sentence,help the students remember the main phrases and the main sentences.设计意图:让学生能抓住文中重点词汇句型,善于归纳。2.Practice.教师在大屏幕上呈现一些本节课的相关练习。三、布置作业Talk about your experiences at a doctors office to your partner and then write a short essay about it. 教学小结【板书设计】Lesson 2A Visit to the DentistMain phrases:be afraid of.need to do.have no choice but to do.dress in it was
