Unit 2 Healthy Eating【单元重点内容与教学目标】本单元的中心话题是“健康饮食”。通过这个话题，可以使学生学习与饮食有关的英语词汇和句型；掌握情态动词ought to的用法；掌握提出建议和劝告(Suggestions and advice)的方式；看医生(Seeing the doctor)的句型以及表达同意与不同意(Agreement and disagreement)的交际方式。另外，通过学习，帮助学生了解饮食结构与饮食文化，做到合理饮食，养成良好的饮食习惯，并且能学会一些为人处事之道，懂得如何正确处理矛盾、解决问题。这是贴近学生生活实际的话题，因此趣味性和实用性较强。Warming up部分通过一个表格向学生展示了不同的食物类型，如：fast energy foods，slow energy foods，body-building foods，foods that give fibre for digestion and health，向学生介绍了各种食物对人体的作用，然后通过询问学生的个人饮食习惯来引导学生关注平衡膳食。Pre-reading部分先让学生讨论Which food contains more sugar/fat/fibre/salt.? 然后通过对含量不同的食物的排序，使学生进一步了解哪些食品含糖/脂肪/纤维/蛋白质最多，哪些食品最少。Reading部分为故事的第一部分，主要讲述的是发生在饭馆中的故事，生动地描述了王鹏伟和咏惠所经营的不同的饭店之间的一场较量，由于他们的经营风格不同，经营的菜肴不同，因此顾客对不同食品的反响也不同，从中也反映出在现代生活中人们对不同饮食时尚的追求。 Comprehending部分分两小部分。第一部分通过True or False的练习，使学生对文章有一个初步的理解。第二部分通过完成四个句子使学生了解到王鹏伟和咏惠两个饭店各自的优势和劣势。Learning about Language部分Discovering useful words and expressions 主要让学生通过上下文在语篇中学习词汇，注意不同词性间的转化。Discovering useful structures 让学生在文章中找出含有情态动词的用法并能在交际中灵活地运用情态动词。Using Language部分分为听、读、说和写三个小部分。听的部分是主体阅读文章的延续，主要讲述了王鹏伟到图书馆查找资料，发现他和咏惠的饭店提供的食物营养都不够均衡，从中学到许多有关健康食品的知识。通过听，学生了解到哪些是能量食品(Energy-giving foods)，哪些是健身食品(Body-building foods)，哪些是保健食品(Protective foods)，还有两家餐馆所提供的食物的营养和作用。读的部分为故事的第二部分，正所谓不打不相识，经过一段时间的切磋，王鹏伟和咏惠决定联手起来，提供给顾客营养均衡的食品，最后两人也幸福地结成了连理，整个故事以喜剧结局。说和写部分结合了生活的实际，让学生两人一组研究中餐并设计食谱，使学生将书本所学的知识运用到实际生活中，锻炼其口语和书面表达能力。Learning Tip部分教会学生如何判断包装食品和罐装食品的均衡营养。学生在研究这些食品的同时也可扩大词汇量。【教学设计】第一课时 阅读课 将Warming Up 部分与Pre-reading, Reading, Comprehending 部分放在同一课时教学，设计成一节阅读课。第二课时 语言学习课将Learning about Language和Workbook（Wb）中的Using words and expressions 及本课中的language points放在一起教学，本课设计为以词法和语言点讲解为主的课。第三课时 语法课将Using Language 中的Listening 和P12 Discovering useful structures 及Wb Using structures 一起教学，本课设计为以语法操练为主的课。第四课时 阅读课完成Reading Come And Eat Here（2）的阅读、相关language points 及P15 Speaking and writing的教学。第五课时 听说课完成P48 Listening 和P49 Talking以及P50 Translation的练习，并对学生作业进行讲评。第六课时 阅读课完成P51 Listening 和Wb Reading The Town Has To Decide 及Speaking Task的教学。第七课时 写作课完成Wb P53 Writing Task并在课堂上对学生的作品进行点评。 第一课时 阅读课 Pre-task:课前进行一个有关学生饮食习惯的问卷调查，表格设计如下（见表1）：Make a survey about the Ss eating habit.NameBreakfastLunchSupperSnackFavourite foodsThe reason for being strong/weak/thin/fat第一步 Warming up (1) 看学生是否能用英语说出图片中的食物名称(通过展示食物的图片来呈现本课出现的新单词e.g. cucumber, mushroom, mutton kebab etc.) (2) Free talk: Whats your favourite food?
