We can get some clues from his narration, like he was punished; he feels something bloody agony; his first nanny loved David, hated him; he can hardly struggle to speak more in his story, and sing instead.2. As a speech therapist, Lionel may wanna find the rooted cause for Berties defect since he doesnt stutter when talking to himself.
