Unit2 Whats this in English?单元教材分析本单元围绕things around you展开教学，通过identify objects展开听、说、读、写等活动，让学生学会使用本单元的目标语言。通过听、说、读、写等多种教学方式学习IiRr十个字母。字母的认读和书写时本单元的教学重点。特别注意大写字母I与小写字母l的教学认读与书写。教学目标知识技能1. 掌握字母IiRr的读音和书写。2. 掌握和运用句子： Whats this in English? Its a/an map,jacket,quilt,key,ruler,pen,orange. Spell it,please. K-E-Y,key.3. 初步学会使用不定冠词a 和an.情感态度1. 通过任务型活动，巩固学生在上一单元教学中初步建立的用英语表演和进行人际交往的能力；培养学生的发散思维与创造性思维。2. 通过辨认各种形状或不完整的字母，培养学生的观察力、想象力和记忆能力。3. 通过听、说、读、写、画等活动，培养学生学习英语的兴趣和主动性，及开口说英语的自信心。文化意识学生学会用英语询问物品的同时也产生了对英语文化的兴趣；课后的任务与学生身边的日常生活密切相关能激发学生学习和了解英语文化的兴趣。教学重点、难点1. 主要语言结构： Whats this in English? Grammar:了解不定冠词 a与an 的基本用法。教材分析本课时主要学习新句型和一些物品的名称。做为预备篇，教师必须明确不同学生在小学阶段所掌握的词汇是不一样的。因此本课时在设计上要着重体现活动的层次性，要用不同难度的活动吸引学生，让学生在学习中或得成功，在完成任务中体验成功。教学目的和要求1. 了解和掌握新的词汇和短语及其相关用法，学会用英语向他人询问物体的名称。2. 了解不定冠词a 和 an的基本用法。教学重点和难点1. 学生能口头熟练地运用新学词汇和句型进行交际。2. 学生能基本准确的使用a和an.3. 通过听、说、表演等活动，提高学生听和说的能力，进一步培养学生大胆开口进行交际的习惯。教学过程Step 1 Warming upListen to the song: I can say my ABCStep 2 Revision1. Ask Ss What is the name of the song? Do you know the meaning of ABC? then say it means “门，基础知识”。2. Go over letters AaHh in different orders by uing cards, and get Ss to say loudly and quickly.Ask Ss say their own names out, and then point out the letters from Aa to Hh. For example: My name is Tina. I have an Aa. My name is Bob. I have two Bb.Step 3 Presentation1. Show some pictures of the new words or flash cards if possible. And teach the new words by asking:Whats this? Its a/anWhats this in English? Its a/anThen choose “orange” picture.Whats this in English?Its an orange.Be careful of the different between “a” and “an”.Step 4 Guessing Games Ask one student to come to the front, standing face to the other students. Put the pictures on his head one by one, and ask another student to stand up, give some suggestions so that Ss can guess the word about the picture. Practice for a little while until most of the Ss can say “Whats this in English?”“ Its a/an”So , if the Ss can do this conversation well, thats the end of 1c.Step 5 Listening Section A 1a. Talk about the picture: What is this in English? Its a/anFirst, get Ss to listen to the tape. Play the tape again and ask the Ss to repeat the conversations. Section A 1b. Let Ss find the letters they know in the picture. Sction A 1c. Get Ss to practice the conversations in the picture if possible.Step 6 Listening and practicing Listening to 4a and number the pictures, and find the missing words. T prepare pieces of paper on which are pictures of the new words in 4a Section A. Put them in a random order. Get Ss to pick a picture out, and then practice in pairs. With the words in 4a. SA: Whats this in English? SB: Its a/anStep 7 Talk about your room1. Let Ss draw a picture of their own room. But they dont need to draw out the real things. They are just asked to draw a square or triangle to present a thing. But the first letter of the object should be given.2. Ask one student to do a demonstration with the teacher.T : Whats this in English? Can you guess?S: QIts a quilt.T: You are right. And whats this?S:3. Greeting the class and show some pictures.T: Whats this in English?Ss: Its a/an2. Check homework. Ask two students to show their pictures, and make a conversation about each.Step 2 PresentationShow some letter pictures or flash cards, and teach Ss to read first. The way can be like this:(show a picture)- Whats this?- Its “”.Finish teaching all the other letters in this unit in the same way.Write the letters on the Bb. Surely the four lines should be drawn. Ask the Ss to pay more attention to the writing of “ I, l; O, Q; p,q; I, j” etc.Step 3 Listen and practiceListen to 2a. Be careful of difference of the sounds. Listen twice if possible. Orally have 2b done, and ask the Ss to fill in the small letters. At the same time, ask the Ss to pay attention to the writing ways. Listen to 2c, and ask the Ss to write capital letters of all the small letters heere, so that itll be easier for the Ss to finifh 2d. Guessing game Show Ss different cartoon things with the 18 letters. Ss are asked to guess what letters it is.2.line up quickly!Ss are divided into two halves.
