新目标英语八年级(上)Unit 6Im more outgoing than my sister Section B 3a-4教学设计 新余十中 柳阳一、设计理念英语课程标准指出:语言知识和语言技能是综合语言运用能力的基础。而培养学生的综合语言运用能力是英语学习的总目标。本节课以人物比较为载体,结合学生生活设计活动,学习相同点与不同点的表达方法,使学生在谈论交友的过程中掌握比较级的用法及其它知识。丰富学生的语言知识,培养学生的语言技能,从而提高学生的综合语言运用能力。课堂设计以读写为主线,以任务活动展开知识学习。二、教材分析新目标英语八年级(上)Unit 6围绕谈论朋友的个性特征,学习形容词及其比较级的用法。Section B 的话题“What kinds of friends would you like to have?”是语言知识的扩展、深化与运用,是Section A内容的延伸。三、教学目标1语言知识目标:掌握单词interest,though,necessary,care,friendship2语言技能目标:运用形容词比较级比较两个人的特征。能进一步利用所学句型描述朋友之间的相似点和不同点, 引导学生结交合适的朋友。3情感态度目标:通过谈论好朋友应该是怎样的,使学生树立正确的交友观。4文化意识目标:引领学生融入到语境之中、进入到完全英语交际的氛围之中,培养学生的英语思维能力。四、教学重点难点用所学的知识谈论并表达自己的交友观。五、教学过程Step 1 Lead-inT:Friendship is very important in our lifeWe may have many friends. Some are the same as meSome are differentShould friends be different or the same? Do you have a good friend? Who is your friend? Why do you choose him/her as your friend? Lets go on learning Unit 6 Section B and talk about a good friend 【设计意图】引出新课。直接切入主题,生动凸现本课的教学意图,启动学生的思维活动,调动他们积极探究的学习意识。Step 2 展示Harry Porter 剧照, Who is this? (Harry Porter) Who are his friends? ( Ron and Hermoine).1:Compare “Harry Porter” with Ron and Hermoine. T: Why are they friends? 学生回答, 教师适时归纳: They are the same age. They are all kind-hearted. They are all brave. They have the same interests. They have the same dream. 2: Differences between Harry Porter , Ron and Hermoine.观看不同的片段让学生表达自己的观点 T: How is Harry Porter different from his friends? 学生总结: Harry Porter is braver, more popular, more athletic than his friends.【设计意图】以学生感兴趣的电影“Harry Porter”导入并展开讨论, 教学效果很好。Step 3 Reading1.Fast reading.Read the article and answer the questions:(1)What kind of friends does James Green like to have?(2)What kind of friends does Huang Lei like to have?(3)What kind of friends does Mary Smith like to have?【设计意图】阅读教学要从整体入手。整体感知文章主题是英语阅读教学中的首要任务,所以我从整体上设计上面三个问题。.Skimming.Read article 1 and answer.(1)What kind of friends does he like to have?(2)Who is his best friend?Read article 2 and choose T or F:(1)He likes to have friends who are like him.(2)Huang Lei is more athletic than Larry.Read article 3:Read quickly and underline the words that describe what people are like.【设计意图】在整体教学的基础上进行分段教学。目的在于掌握各个段落之间的逻辑关系,从而更好地掌握整篇课文,即“整体部分整体”的教学模式。发端于全文,落脚于全文,它集整体教学与分块教学的优点于一体,做到整体与部分的统一,从而突出了整篇课文。 3ScanningRead and fill in the blanksViews of having friendsBest friendThe same as best friendDifferent from best friendJames GreenYuan LiBoth_James is _Yuan Li is _Huang LeiLarryBoth like _Lei is _Larry is _ _and _Mary SmithCarolBoth like _Mary Smith is _Carol is _ and _【设计意图】教学中利用表格能开拓学生思路,帮助学生记忆。在课堂教学中设计任务型教学活动,使学生在完成任务的过程中得到训练。每一遍阅读都应有不同的目的和相应的任务要求,阅读顺序应合乎认知规律,任务层次递进且有坡度。在教学过程中巧妙地使生词、短语在表格中再现,使学生在情景进一步理解其含义和用法。Step 4 Listening and SpeakingT: Please read it again and circle some words you cant read. Now, listen and pay attention to the pronunciation. T: Can you read? T: Please read loudly and try to retell the article according to the chart.【设计意图】听完录音后,在学生会读的基础上让学生大声朗读,并根据前面的表格口述文章,达到进一步理解文章、口头模仿新语言知识的目的。Step 5 Discussion 1.T:Who would you like to make friends with? (holly, Maria和their best friends) Why? 2. T: Introduce your new friend to us. (1) Why is he/she your good friend? (2) What do you like about him/her? (3) Do you have anything same as him/her? (4) How are you different from each other?【设计意图】本部分的讨论活动是对前面片段的总结, 主要目的是激发学生用所学的句子结构发表自己的意见, 正确的评价holly, Maria和their best friends这三个人物,并表达自己的交友观.Step 6 Writing: Whats your opinion about friend?拓展应用Different people have different opinionsWhat is your opinion? Who is your best friend? What things are the same and what things are different between you and your best friend? Write like this:I like to have friendsMy best friend isHe /She isthan meWe both like参考词汇:serious/popular/athletic/outgoing/quiet/funny/wild/calm/smartgo to the movies/go swimming /play sports/ basketball/football【设计意图】在上一环节的基础上,进一步升华课文主题,让学生用自己的话进行写作训练。它需要学生对新获得的文章信息和新学会的语言知识进行重新结合,用自己的思维表达出来。Step Summary: What have we learned today? Would you like to make friends with me?Ss: Id love to.T: Now wish our friendship everlasting.【设计意图】让学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人,学会交换不同的看法,了解他人的喜好,增进情谊,实现情感目标。六、教学反思我是以新课程理念为依据进行教学设计和课堂活动的。通过对教材的理解我确立了以培养学生语言知识、应用能力、文化意识和学习策略为中心的教学目标,充分体现了为学生全面发展和终生发展和学习奠定基础的原则;目标层层递进,并贴近生活,具有可实践性。既体现出课程标准中侧重培养学生阅读能力的要求,又兼顾了听、说 、读、写全面发展的教学原则。在循序渐进的教学过程中,学生学会熟悉课文的整体篇章结构、课文内容和新的语言知识。同时,学生通过独立分析文章和理解文章,推理和判断能力增强,对词汇及语言形式的理解、积累与运用能力也增强了。作为本课的教学反思,我想谈谈自己在教学过程中比较满意的地方,以及自己的教学不足。在对待开放性话题上,是我与学生最愿意进行的部分。本单元我们选择的开放性话题是:What kinds of friends would you like
