基于语料库的英语论文摘要中模糊限制语的研究 摘要 模糊限制语的研究始于上世纪七十年代早期。最早是从语义学及逻辑学的角 度探讨限制模糊词的模糊限制成分。随着语用学的蓬勃发展，模糊限制成分逐渐 发展成模糊限制语概念，并被看作缓和语气，表达礼貌，体现模糊功能和语气功 能的手段。在书面语篇中模糊限制语的研究已经引起了足够多的重视，但是，它 在不同语体或语篇里的实现方式和作用仍然是少有研究的领域，比如模糊限制语 在摘要里的应用就是值得探索的课题。摘要是学术论文的重要组成部分。它简洁 明了地概括文章内容，点明论文主旨。随着英语逐渐成为世界语言，范围影响到 国际学术界的每个角落，一篇高质量的英语论文摘要能更好的吸引读者，帮助作 者阐述观点，得到认同，从而取得学术的成功。因此，本研究通过定量和定性研 究，全面深入地探讨模糊限制语在学术论文摘要中的实现方式和它的语用功能， 并为摘要写作教学提供帮助，以提高学者撰写论文摘要的能力，在学术上取得更 大的进步。本研究主要探讨以下三个问题： ( 1 ) 英语摘要中是否有模糊限制语现象存在? ( 2 ) 模糊限制语在英语摘要中有什么样的应用和语言实现方式? ( 3 ) 模糊限制语在英语摘要中有什么样的语用功能? 本研究通过自建一个社会学科的英语论文摘要语料库，运用定量和定性研究 描述模糊限制语在学术论文摘要的语言实现形式和它的语用功能。语料库由三个 社会科学杂志的六十一篇英语摘要组成，具有代表性，容易查询。以h y l a n d ( 1 9 9 8 ) 对科技论文中模糊限制语的定义和分类为基础，总结了现有语料库中出现的主要 分类。在此框架的指导下，通过计算机和人工双重搜索，进一步总结它在语料库 中的分布和出现频率。根据统计数据，本研究通过定量和定性研究，从模糊限制 语的实现和作用两方面来描述它在社会学科论文摘要中的应用，以此探究它的重 要性。基于语料库数量的有限性和统计方法的单一性，本研究不可能穷尽模糊限 制语在摘要中所有的语言实现形式，涉及不到的方式等待今后进一步的研究。 研究结果表明模糊限制语在摘要中主要有两种实现形式，词汇手段和非词汇 手段。每种方式体现自己的特点和使用频率。模糊限制语在摘要的不同部分的分 布大不相同，以结果和结论部分出现的频率最高。数据显示模糊限制语在社会学 科论文摘要中大量存在，语言方式形式多样，每种语言形式从不同角度影响着摘 要内容。通过对其语用功能的分析发现，模糊限制语在摘要中遵循合作原则的四 大准则，同时灵活表达蕴含意义。在语篇功能和人际功能方面都有重要作用。 本文通过研究结果展现模糊限制语在学术论文摘要的重要意义，从而为模糊 限制语在不同语体的研究提供借鉴。摘要中恰当地运用模糊限制语能增强文章的 说服力，增进作者与读者之间的关系，因此，在摘要的写作教学中，老师除了教 会学生摘要的结构和特点，还应指导学生正确恰当使用模糊限制语，撰写高质量 的论文摘要，追求更高的学术成就。
