摘要 多年来，英语一直是一门让很多中国学生和家长倍感头疼的课程，是不少学生学习 上的拦路虎。很多教育家以及奋斗在教学第一线的广大英语教师都一直在为英语教学改 革而努力寻求全新的教学模式，以期改变过去以单词和语法讲解为主的单调沉闷的英语 课堂，从而激发学生学习英语的兴趣，变被动学习为主动学习，提高学习效率。 1 9 8 3 年，美国哈佛大学教授，著名的心理学家，霍华德加德纳在他所著的智能 的结构一书中首度提出多元智能理论，认为人类的智能不是单一的，而是多元的。1 9 9 9 年，加德纳在他的另外一本书重构多元智能中，对该理论进行了拓展和完善，提出 所有正常人都至少拥有八种智能：语言智能，逻辑数学智能，音乐智能，空间智能，运 动智能，人际智能，自省智能和自然白能。这八种智能在每个人身上的表现程度不同， 二 有些智能会表现的强一些，有些则会弱一些。人类通过自己独特的智能方式学习，即使 是对于同一事物，不同的人也会有不同的学习方式。因此，教师在教学活动中应该认识 到并且尊重学生的差异性，认识到学生学习方式和潜能的多样性，设计丰富多样的教学 7 活动，从而才能提高教学效率，改善教学效果，实现教学目的。该理论自问世以来，不 仅对美国的教育改革产生了广泛积极的影响，同时也被世界其他国家教育者们借鉴和运。 用。多元智能理论与中国的素质教育倡导的全面发展和个性发展不谋而合。同时，多元 智能理论与2 0 1 1 年由国家教育部出台的义务教育阶段英语课程新标准也有着异曲同工 之妙，提倡面向全体学生，为学生的全面发展及终身发展奠定基础。 本文作者基于多元智能理论的实验教学研究，在学习多元智能理论的基础上，运用 多元智能理论设计课堂教学，实施多元模式的实验教学，最后对教学结果进行研究分析。 目的是检测基于多元智能理论的教学模式对增强学生学习兴趣和提高英语学习的作用。 作者在西华县黄桥中学进行了一项实验研究，七年级三班和七年级四班分别被被选作实 验班和控制班。这两个班级学生人数都是4 1 人，大部分学生都来自农村，升入初中之 前他们有着相似的英语学习经历，实验中作者运用基于多元智能理论的课程设计对实验 班进行教学，而在控制班，作者不考虑学生的智能状况，依然按照传统的教学方式进行 教学。实验中作者运用了问卷调查，访谈，观察及测试几种实验工具。学期结束后，作
