辽宁师范大学硕士学位论文 摘要 作为犹太人的后裔，索尔贝娄自小深受其家庭的熏陶，研读圣经并对其有着深刻 的理解。由此可见，圣经对贝娄及其日后的创作产生了很大的影响。雨王汉德森 就为其中之一，其讲述了主人公汉德森去非洲寻找自我的旅程的故事。众所周知，文学 是文明社会下神话的延伸与移位，越来越多的作家意识到古老的神话体系对人类意识形 态所产生的影响，于是他们开始在作品中使用这种神话原型，并以此来深化主题。基本 说来，西方的传统文化主要由两部分构成：古希腊神话以及圣经。读过雨王汉德 森之后，我们不难发现此两种文化的移位。本文以荣格，弗莱以及弗莱泽的原型理论 为基础，着力于在神话与圣经中挖掘该作品的原型。 第一部分介绍了索尔贝娄的生平以及给他的创作产生巨大影响的人。其次对小说 雨王汉德森的主要内容和评论界对其所做的相关评论进行了简要的介绍。第二部分 对荣格，弗莱及弗莱泽的原型理论进行了阐述与概括。 第三部分是本文的重点论述部分，主要分析了人物，意象，结构及仪式四部分，并 引用了大量的原文来论述圣经及神话中的原型在小说中的体现。事实上，寻找自我 的主题思想也穿插于此部分以便为以下的主题分析埋下伏笔。 第四部分旨在寻找主人公内心深处“我要 声音的答案。与简介部分不同的是，此
