摘要 隐喻是诗歌的生存原则，在一定程度上说，没有隐喻就没有诗歌。中华民族 拥有五千年的灿烂辉煌的历史，其中古诗更是这种优秀传统的集中体现。在传统 修辞学当中，隐喻是诗歌，无论是中国古诗也好还是英语诗歌也好，最常用的修 辞手法之一。从表面来看，隐喻是一种语言现象，它是润饰词藻的一种修辞手法， 但从深的层次来看，它更是人类诗性的一种文化现象，不仅能折射出人类诗性智 慧的光辉，同时也是人类改造世界，人类认知自身的途径。 无论诗歌如何运用隐喻，如何偏离日常语言的使用轨道，但从本质上来说， 诗歌还是一种语言现象，所以本文试图通过一种可行的语言学分析方法来体验诗 歌奥妙所在。在分析的过程中，重要的不是对诗歌本身作解读，而是通过切实可 行的语言分析所展现的语言特征来探索诗歌的解读过程，尤其是诗歌当中所体现 出来的文化特质，从宏观隐喻来理解诗歌。 本文以韩礼德系统功能语言学中的语法隐喻为理论框架分析中国古代诗歌 和英语诗歌，以此探究语法隐喻的普遍性，以及它们在中国诗歌和英语诗歌当中 所起功能的相似性及相异性。以及探讨引起这种功能的相似性及相异性的潜在的 文化意识形态的方方面面。 论文共由六章组成。第一章为引论，主要介绍文章的研究背景，研究目的， 研究意义，同时提出三个研究问题：语法隐喻是否具有普遍性，以及探索它们在 中国古诗与英语诗歌中所起功能是否具有相似性和相异性。语法隐喻这一理论是 否适合用于诗歌分析? 语法隐喻在中国古诗与英语诗歌中所起的功能不同是否 反映了两者文化意识形态的不同? 第二章追溯语法隐喻的发展历史，重点介绍了 系统功能语言学的三大语法隐喻理论：概念隐喻，人际隐喻，语篇隐喻。在此基 础上构建诗歌分析的功能框架。第三章从概念语法隐喻的角度对所选的中国古代 诗歌和英语诗歌进行定量分析，揭示所起功能的相似点和相异点。第四章主要是 在人际语法语法隐喻的框架内对所选的中国古代诗歌和英语诗歌进行定量分析， 来揭示它们所起功能的相似点和相异点。第五章从语篇语法隐喻的角度对所起功 能进行分析。第六章为本文结论，语法隐喻理论可以为诗歌分析提供一个可行的 分析框架，并指出文化意识确实对诗歌语篇的构成起着重要的作用。 本文的研究价值及意义体现在两个方面：一是扩充了语法隐喻的研究范围。 以往语法隐喻理论对诗歌的研究仅仅限于对中国古诗的赢译的不同版本的对比 研究，本问没有从翻译的版本入手，直接分析诗歌原文，笔者认为这最大限度的 保证了诗歌的原有韵味。二是为诗歌分析构建了一个功能分析框架。 关键词：语法隐喻；概念隐喻；人际隐喻；语篇隐喻 i i a b s t r a c t m e t a p h o ri s t
