e n g l i s hm a j o r s k e yw o r d s ：c o h e s i v ed e v i c e s ；w r i t i n gq u a l i t y ；c o h e s i o n ；c o m p o s i t i o n s 山东大学硕士学位论文 摘要 写作，在语言学习的四个基本技能之中，往往被认为是最复杂和最难的一项。 无论国内还是国外，对大学生而言，它也是最重要的能力之一。在英语写作上，虽 然教师和学生都投入了大量的时间和精力，但是学生的写作水平仍远不尽人意。正 如韩礼德和哈桑所说，“衔接是连贯的基础”( 1 9 7 6 ：1 3 ) 。本研究调查了非英语专业大 学生在英语写作中衔接手段的使用情况，以期达到提高英语写作教学质量之效果。 高质量的作文具有什么特点? 如何才能写出一篇语法正确、连贯顺畅的好文 章? 这些都是英语教学的焦点问题，特别是英语写作教学的重点问题。在英语学习 者写作的衔接方面，国内外许多学者做了大量的调查研究。相关研究发现，在英语 学习者的英语作文中，语法错误占很大的比例。然而，即使将这些错误全部纠正， 文章的句子依然严重脱节，语义不连贯，造成理解上的困难。阅读这样的文章，经 常使读者产生理解“挫折感 ( 王玉雯、张鹏，2 0 0 3 ) 。 本研究选取非英语专业大学生为研究对象，调查学生在英语写作中衔接手段的 使用情况。作者在两所高校的四个学院开展调研，从3 6 0 篇大二学生的作文中，抽取 了1 0 0 篇作为语料。将抽取的作文分成两组：好作文5 0 篇，差作文5 0 篇。经过对这些 样本进行详细的分析讨论，本文说明了衔接手段的使用对提高作文质量有很大的帮 助，展示了衔接手段对教学的重要意义，并总结出一些切实可行的方法，以期应用 于大学英语写作课堂教学，有效的提高大学生的英语写作质量。 本文试图解答下面三个问题： 1 中国非英语专业大学生英语写作中衔接手段的使用情况如何? 2 衔接手段的使用和英语写作质量之间的关系怎样? 3 本研究对写作教学有什么意义? 通过分析比较两组作文中衔接手段的使用，可以看出，作文质量好的一组学生使 用的衔接手段数量较多，种类也较多，而作文质量差的一组对衔接手段的数量和种类 的使用相对较少。而且，质量好的那组作文中，指示用的最多，词汇重复其次，词汇 搭配列于第三。但是在质量差的那组作文中，词汇重复用的最多，其次是指示和连接 的使用。两组范文里面用的替代和省略较少，尤其在质量差的那组，替代和省略在作 山东大学硕士学位论文 一i i 量皇量量薯量| 量| _ 文中并不常用。研究结果还表明，学生，尤其是作文成绩较差的学生，对衔接手段的 使用没有明确的认识，因此急需获取这方面的知识和技能训练。 最后本文得出结论：衔接手段的正确使用有助于提高作文质量，而且衔接手段经 过训练是可以被学生掌握的。因此，教师和学生都有必要密切关注英语写作和衔接手 段之间的关系，增强英语写作中衔接手段使用方面的意识。此外，教师引导学生进行 衔接手段使用的系统训练，增加写作实践，可有效地提高大学生的英语写作质量。 关键词：衔接手段；写作质量；衔接；作文 e s l c e t 4 c e t -
