音与义的关联机制 英语诗歌语音探索及翻译研究 学科专业：英语语言文学 指导教师：刘家荣教授 研究方向：语言学及现代英语 研究生：郑江磊( $ 2 0 0 4 0 6 2 6 ) 内容摘要 语言的象似性和任意性问题一直是语言学界争论不休的问题之一。一些认为语 言具有象似性的学者的理据就在于语言中存在声音象征的现象即声音与意义自j 存在 某种关联。这种联系往往在诗歌中表现得最为明显。 本文通过所提出的一个模式，系统的考察英文诗歌中声音层面上的象似性问题 既英文诗歌中的声音是如何与诗歌的意义相联系的。本文认为，英语中诗歌的音与 义之白j 的联系是系统化的并且是可以描述的。本文所提出的模式，与以往的模式相 比，更能透彻和系统的对这种联系进行描述。 以往所提出的一些描绘诗歌中音与义相关联的模式( 如h r u s h o v s k i ，1 9 8 0 ；l e e c h ， 1 9 6 9 ；w e l l e k w a r r e n1 9 6 6 ；h i n t o ne t a l ，1 9 9 4 等) 或多或少的忽略了声音中质与 量之分，有的更是把声音的音响特征与发爵特征混为一谈。本文则对涛歌声音作了 较具体的分类，并通过具体的例证对每一种分类进行阐述从而系统化的建立起诗歌 中声音与意义的关联。 同时，本文基于对诗歌语音的研究提出了在诗歌翻译中追求“音义关联对等” ( p h o n o s e m a n t i ce q u i v a l e n c e ) 的概念即在翻译中追求原文与译文在声音对意义的影响 力上的等效。 关键词：符号学象似性，声音英语诗歌 i i i m a t h e s i s l i n k i n gs o u n d a n dc o n t e n t ： a ni n v e s t i g a t i o ni n t oe n g l i s hp o e t r ya n di t st r a n s l a t i o n m a j o r -
