摘要 科马克麦卡锡是美国当代小说家及剧作家。在其主要的创作生涯中，麦卡锡一 直秉持低调的态度。多年来，他的读者群也仅限于- d , 部分敬仰者。而评论家认为， 麦卡锡堪与最伟大的作家麦尔维尔及福克纳相媲美。血色子午线被誉为麦卡锡最 杰出的作品，也是一部以西部边境为背景的小说。他在多部作品中都表达了对生态的 关注，这种生态批评的思想自然也体现在血色子午线中。本文从美国荒野西部入 手，结合生态批评的相关理论分析人类与自然的关系，表达麦卡锡对“人类中心主义 的反对，以及对人类文明逐渐侵蚀自然这一事实的痛心，最终揭示造成生态危机的根 源，提醒人类应当重新深刻思考与自然的关系。 本文共分五章，第一章简介小说家科马克麦卡锡及其小说血色子午线；第 二章回顾迄今为止的国内外研究成果；第三章介绍本文将要用到得相关理论和思潮的 起源，及其发展状况；作为本文的主体部分，第四章通过详细分析血色子午线中 麦卡锡所描绘的西部自然画卷背后所蕴含的人类和自然的关系，揭示造成生态危机的 根源，以及期望建立人类文明与自然之间的美好和谐关系。本章以在历史上被认为是 英雄的西部、浪漫的伊甸园以及国家意识象征的美国荒野西部为切入点，探讨了麦卡 锡笔下的真实西部世界。它揭除了美好神话的陈伪表象，展示出暴力是人类的原始本 性。在进步与文明的名义下和在利益的驱使下，人类为了权力与控制而相互争斗，从 而实现对自然的控制欲望。然而，麦卡锡所描述的自然世界不再只是人类需要的供给 者，而是同样具有内在价值，被投射为与人类同等地位的独立主体。在麦卡锡看来， 人类的无止境参与致使自然面临崩溃，结果必将引发自然对人类的报复。麦卡锡质疑 人类对非人类世界是否具有优先权。作者通过法官霍顿批判了人类中心主义的观点，
