中文摘要摘要中国作为世界文明古国拥有丰厚的文化遗产，中国古诗便是世界文学史上的一颗明珠。近些年来随着中国国际地位的提高，中国文化也引起全世界的普遍重视。中国古诗的英译有助于弘扬中华文化，加强中西方文化交流，促进中国文化产业的发展。中国古诗灿烂辉煌，而古诗英译任重道远，无数翻译工作者投身到这项伟大而艰巨的任务中，其中汪榕培教授是典籍英译的呐喊者与接班人，他是韵体派译诗的代表。他提出“传神达意 等诗歌翻译思想，并完成了诗经、易经、庄子、老子和陶渊明诗歌等优秀翻译作品。本文意在总结分析汪教授的翻译技巧，期望更好的古诗英译作品出现。本文通过读者反应调查问卷，以中国五首脍炙人口的古诗英译版本做对比赏析，向5 6 名英语读者进行问卷调查，将检测结果运用s p s s 统计工具计算出频率及相对频率，揭示接受语读者对几种翻译版本的认可度。根据问卷结果得出，绝大部分英语读者对汪教授的译作表示赞同与欣赏，他们对汪教授韵体译诗的方法提出了较高的评价。本文作者总结出汪榕培教授的古诗英译技巧如下：避免了韵体译诗的因韵害意；对原诗有着正确有效的理解；创造性地再现原作的风格；关注读者的感受；正确地再现原诗的意象等等。古诗翻译不是一个简单的语言转换过程，而是承担着世界文化交流的重要使命。汪教授在用韵、达意，再现原作风格等方面造诣极深，他在古诗英译道路上的探索和多年来提出的真知灼见，为我国典籍英译事业带来了无限的生命力，促进了典籍英译事业在中国的蓬勃发展。关键词：汪榕培；中国古诗英译；翻译批评；读者反映英文摘要a
