摘要 堪称现代小说艺术之楷模的了不起的盖茨比为我们提供了学习和研究叙 事学理论的广阔的实践空间。本文从叙事学的角度来探索及分析该作品所运用的 叙事技巧，从而体现出作者菲茨杰拉德高超的艺术造诣。本文包括四个篇章。 第一章从叙事时长方面对小说进行分析。笔者先给出了叙事时长的定义，然 后从四个方面，即叙事时长的四种形式，对小说进行了具体分析，从而指出了该 技巧在主题揭示上面的意义。 第二章从叙事频率方面对小说进行了分析。笔者也是先给出了叙事频率的定 义，然后具体分析了小说是如何运用三种不同的叙事频率的，及各种叙事频率的 作用。 第三章是本文论述最为详细的一章，是对叙事语气的分析。它包括两大部分： 距离和聚焦。本章主要讨论了尼克的双重身份所产生的双重聚焦效果。 第四章分析了叙事声音的作用。小说中的叙述由主次叙述层、多种声音构成，
