约时报和新闻周t j j ；。主要结论如下： 英语报刊文章的形式与意义之间确实存在一定的理据性联系，英语的许多持征郁 可以用象似性原则解释，使用象似性原则理解英语报刊文章的隐含意义是可行的，可 以激发英语学习者学习报刊文章的兴趣。 贾献s 慧义为： ( 1 ) 论文列举许多例汪证明象似性理论为英语报刊文章乃至其它语篇的解读提供 了一个新的视角和理论基础。 ( ! ) 强调了词汇层面与句法层面的象似性，语言符号与j e 语言符号象似性的区 别。 i 仅着重探讨语言符号与结构的象似性，还指出了研究排版与印刷象似性的必要 性，扩展了象似性研究的范围。 ( 3 ) 论文除探讨新闻标题、导语、正义中的缩减形式、常用套语、委婉语、舆故、 修辞手法等常见特征外，还研究丁标点符号和元音的象似性的应用。 论文的含义如下： ( 1 ) 说话人或作者也许意识不到其语言中包含隐含意义，读者对此粪意义也不甚 敏感，因此一个文本的解读在很大程度上依赖于读者。英语学习者应培养自己发掘形 式与意义之间的关系的能力更好地理解象似性特征的意义。 ( 2 ) 象似性研究是一种微观的视角，离开这个视角虽不会妨碍对整个语篇大意的 理解。但读者难以理解形式本身的隐含含义，因此无法欣赏英语新闻这种实用文体独 特的美。 ( 3 ) 不过，象似性理论不能解释所有语言观象，语言符号和结构往往受到任意- 肚 和主观选择的影晌。形式和意义不是永远对等的。理解英语新闻中的象似性虽应注重 形式，还应该以意义为主，理解文本的含义是解读的终极目标 全文共分为五章，第一章是引言，提出本研究将要回答的问题，并说明了本研究 的重要性；第二章是文献综述，说明本研究是以海曼的象似性理论作为理论框架的， 回顾总结以往相关的研究：第三章是研究方法，主要解释报刊文章的选择，选择的依 据科学性。第四章分析了一些具体文本，试图证明英语报刊文章的形式往往蕴涵隐含 意义。主要研究象假性的四条主要原础j ，即距离象似性、数量象似性、顺序象似性和 标记象似性。第五章为结论，认为用象似性的几条主要原则分析英美报刊文章可以促 进对英美报刊中隐含意义的理解，同时指出本研究的局限性和对今后研究的建议。
